Thanks, Nikki! So nice to "see" you here on the forum. I'm glad you enjoyed the write-up. I realized that I hadn't done one for a very long time so it was fun to put a story and pics together again.

Thanks for the healing wishes from across the pond. I can feel them!:heart::heart:

We have had extreme storms :poop::bomb:over January, but I have got 2 rides in. Looking forward to getting out tomorrow and forecast looks good for next week.
I hope to get some fishing in and then have track training next Thursday :heart:

I always love your posts, Sandi, and this time is no different; your Harley looks amazing too. More importantly, though, I’m glad the surgery went well - just don’t overdo it in your rush to be riding again!

Thanks, @learningtofly! I haven't posted much in the past few months and finally felt motivated to post after our short but oh-so-sweet trip last weekend. So many wonderful sights to see and share. :)

Thanks also for the kind comments regarding my surgery. I'm healing up well and can do more and more with my hand daily. Don't worry, I'll be conservative and make darned sure I'm ready to ride again before doing so. Having been off the bikes for seven months in 2020 due to the elbow and pelvis fractures, waiting another week or two this time around will seem like nuthin'. ;):) Well, I say that today. I can't vouch if I'll feel the same in a few weeks. :joy:

I like your priorities, @Oldskool! ;):D I'm a rightie so the only thing affecting my alcohol intake is being able to get the bottle open. :joy::joy::joy: Thanks for the good luck wishes. :kissing_heart:

Thanks, @Wessa! No apologies needed. Thanks for the kind words about both my ride write up and my surgery. I think my Speedy will help with my speedy return to riding what with it's slick quick shifter and light(er) clutch pull. :) How's your knee doing? I hope it's improving and that your upcoming consultation produces some positive news.

    Hi,
Yes you should be grand in 3-4 weeks, I had a trigger finger released a few months back without issue.
Do make sure you do the exercises advised and when possible massage the scar tissue area as it helps reduce any swelling. Scar will be sore to touch at first but do keep at it as could become sensitive if you don't.
You will ne riding again in no time!.

Thanks @Sandi T the knee has improved with swelling reduced, but I’m still struggling to put weight on the knee. Only 8 days until I see the consultant, so getting closer to getting some answers :)

Hi, Steve, good to hear from you and I'm glad to see you're getting in some miles, too, even in the cold. Thanks for the kind comments about my write up and photos. And I especially thank you for your well wishes for my speedy recovery. I'm itching to ride already! Thankfully we had three days of rain so I was able to stop fretting about not getting out to ride on a beautiful sunny day. ;) Oh yeah, and I guess we live in the desert in a drought so there were additional reasons to be thankful for the rain. :joy:

Thanks for the good wishes, @Dawsy. I figure there are a lot of things these days over which I've no control so I'm trying to do a better job of at least controlling my attitude (or at least choosing it). I'm exactly one week out from my surgery and able to do WAY more things than even a few days ago. Riding a motorcycle certainly isn't one of them...yet. But as you said, "soon"! And, yes, it will be on Speedy. :)

Sorry to read about your weather. Sunny, warmer days will be here before you know it! :sun::cool:

Nice to hear you're on the mend Sandi. The enforced riding holiday, although no doubt frustrating, will make the prospect of your first post-op ride even more enticing. I think I know how you feel. In 2004 I went to the launch of the new R1 on crutches after a bicycle accident left me with a broken hip. I took delivery 4 weeks later, off crutches by then but still with a heavy limp. I just couldn't wait any longer!:joy:
