After I had to put a lot of time in the last weeks in professional activities, the use of my two bikes has come very short. Partly I have been only for the repacking of my travel items at home, because the next flight, or the next train ride was pending.
Since, in addition, the weather on the few days that I could take off, then was mostly bad, I went in September 2 times by car to my wife in the Western Balkans.
Who wants can look at my following postings, which are a small selection of my impressions from all over Europe from the Western Balkans to the far north.

    5 parts will follow!

Part 1: "Wellness in Bosnia and Herzegowina"
With my dear wife I spent a long weekend in the only wellness hotel in Bosnia and Herzegowina. Highly recommended!!! The hotel is located on the mountain IGMAN, half an hour outside Sarajevo and can be reached via a nice mountain road. They offer very good cuisine and a complete wellness program at very moderate prices. For the hotel price for 2 people for a weekend including meals, the fuel costs and toll costs for my 1,600 km trip, you get in Austria in an equivalent hotel maximum a room for one night!!!
The surrounding area was used in 1984 for the Winter Olympics. We have visited the ski jumping arena in the course of a hike and looked at the partly already dilapidated sports facilities. It was very exhausting, but also impressive to see from the jumping tower into the depth.

Part 2: "On tour in Munich"
After some business duties I used my sparetime to explore Munich. Of course, there was also one or the other drink with it!;)

Part 3: "A tour through Frankfurt":
Frankfurt impressed me very much. The mixture of old and new is extremely interesting. Unfortunately, however, you can also see the negative sides of our society at almost every corner, begging people who live on the street.

Part 4: "A tour through Oslo":
Oslo was impressive! I have never experienced a city where it was so quiet! Due to government support, there are extremely many electric cars in the urban areas of Norway. You must therefore be extremely careful at intersections, because you usually do not even hear them approaching! But it's just wonderful how quiet it can be in a big city, even if I'm not convinced of all the electric hype personally!!! In the meantime, however, it is already in Norway so that only small E-cars are promoted, because it has come to an SUV overhang. E-SUVs are currently already taxed similarly to gasoline-powered vehicles!
At the harbor, you can rent floating saunas by the hour, which are even driven through the entire harbor if you want. The water was 15 degrees at the time and the air temperatures were between 9 and 13 degrees Celsius. That was quite an experience! Of course, I also tested the local cuisine. Excellent, but really expensive! A beer in the supermarket costs 6-8 euros. In the pub then 10-13 euros. For a dinner in the quality pizza or burger including a drink you have to expect about 30-35 euros!
I also visited the skijumping area of Holmenkollen which you can reach by the metro.

    Part 5; " A tour through Prague":
Prague is a magnificent city and has many similarities with Salzburg and Vienna. In contrast to Oslo, prices here are again moderate and you can enjoy culinary delights on almost every corner. If you like dumplings, this is the place to be! At one meal I had 5 (!) different types of dumplings on my plate! The food offer of the local cuisine has a certain "granny touch". Somewhat hearty cuisine, but delicious in taste. You should explore the city and the surrounding hills on foot, otherwise you are permanently stuck in traffic, or get parking problems!;)

Some nice pics. I'm envious that you can cross borders more easily than we can. Sometimes it's good to be an island but I'd like the convenience of being able to tour other countries without the hassle and cost of crossing the channel (or going under it). Maybe it's more of a mental barrier. However you've rekindled my desire to get over there next year.
Just one question, surely you must have come across at least one bike worthy of a snap or two?

@beerkat: You are right! There were some interesting bikes on my journeys. But we are all subject to the limit of 10 photos per thread.;)

Cheers Markus. I actually like that, although maybe the ape hangers are a bit too ape.
