Have a safe trip home. Don't get Delhi belly on your last night in Poland.

I forgot to mention, the girl doing the Schindler factory tour told us that the people in Poland think they will be next after Ukraine. She also mentioned that emergency services like fire department have already been given iodine tablets to prevent affects of radiation after a nuclear attack by Russia.
Pretty depressing to hear that.:eek::eek::eek:

All good things come to an end Nikki. Glad you have had a good trip and thanks for sharing. Taxi drivers all over the world are cheating b@stards when it come to tourists.
Drive safe on your way home :)

I’m home. Was supposed to stay 2 nights in Potsdam, but just wanted to get back so only stayed 1. I’ve already visited the highlights of Potsdam a few years ago, so after breakfast I set off.
We did 2800km altogether. The only incident on the return journey in Germany was a Dutch lorry which caused a huge snarl up when his/her fuel tank sprang a leak on the motorway and we all had to merge into one lane. Hope no bikers came a cropper. They were cleaning it up as I drove past.
Would love to visit Poland again and maybe I’ll take the bike next time.
Give me a few days and I’ll start to post some photos.

Glad you're home safe. Poland is gorgeous. I'd recommend Masuria, and the cities of Malbork and Zamość.

A couple of photos in the Salt mine. Pope John Paul the second, carved out of a block of salt and the underground church chamber where the statue is situated. There were also carvings of the last supper. IMG_1526.JPG IMG_1522.JPG

The second photo was the punishment blocks (as if being there wasn’t punishment enough). The wall at the end was where prisoners were shot

Brilliant pictures. That's a great trip you had there. Auschwitz is a real eye opener as to how low man can go.
