Featured Touring A Weekend Away

Left home this morning for a long(ish) bike weekend with mrs. V. We're off to the south, where there's beautiful countryside and even some (little) hills. We'll be based in a hotel, and have planned a tour tomorrow. Back on Sunday.

And now a well deserved beer!

 

That sounds fun. Hope it all goes well.
So is bike theft a problem over there? That seems a lot of hefty locks to be carrying around while touring. I tend to go for disk or U-locks while touring.

 

Bike theft is not a problem here that I'm aware of - but having a spare kriega I just took the locks along. Better safe than sorry!

This morning our first stop was the highest point in Belgium, at 695 metres.

Then it was on to Luxemburg. Filled up with cheap fuel, then on to Malmedy for lunch.

Quick piccie en route.

Now back, enjoying a well deserved beer!
