    Attended the "Gathering of the Nortons" today with Traveler (Bron) and his buddy, Shane. Held at Washington's Crossing State Park on the Pennsylvania side of the Delaware River above Trenton, NJ. The Gathering is put on by the Delaware Valley Norton Riders Association, but all makes are welcome. Only rule is that you have to ride it in. No Trailer Queens. Nice ride up! Perfect riding weather. Took a shite-ton of pics. There were too many interesting bikes to show them all, but all old iron was represented.
    I drooled a lot.

    Wow, @Fork Lock! That's my kind of day out! Was there an actual bike show or was it more like "ride it, park, and everyone look at everyones bikes"? Thanks for sharing your photos. What a fantastic array of bikes! :heart_eyes:

    Yeah...just ride, park, gawk.

    The only disappointment was that the hot dog vendor wasn't there. :confused:

    On the way home on Rt. 206 is a little dairy bar called the White Dotte in Southampton. They have the best shakes and malts. I used to stop occasionally on the way home from North Jersey when I was on the insurance fraud investigator job. Having been retired three years this month, I haven't been there. A large vanilla malt was $5. I stopped in and ordered a large.
    $8.49!!!!! Holy smokes!!

    BTW...Sandi T said to take a lot of pictures when I talked about going to this event a few weeks ago. So, I did, because Sandi to.

    @Fork Lock
    Thanks for your follow-through on my request to take a lot off pictures. :) Glad I could be "motivating". :joy: I completely understand the disappointment about the missing hot dog vendor. Mr. Sandi and I went to a University of AZ baseball game last night--our first of the season--and there were several missing vendors. Fortunately the hot dog vendor wasn't one of them. But still....

    I LOVE malts! Particularly chocolate. But $8.49??!! I'm with you.....holy smokes!! The prices of some things--many things--is just getting downright ridiculous. :(:sob:

    3 old geezers astride 3 new(ish) trumpets headed down to Loomies for a bacon sandwich. Sat on a swing seat (didn't bring the banjo), then rode home.

    And the best part is that if you take the back roads, you don't come across too many cars. Always a result.

  19. Fork Lock

    Fork Lock Crème de la Crème

    My youngest daughter, Abby, and I are unabashed foodies. We love trying new things and spend the summer hitting the gun club dinners and food truck events. In the spring we're like military strategists. We hit the internet and plan and map out our course of action. I mean, where else are you going to get bacon on a stick, walking tacos or venison kebabs?
    Today was "The Big One." The Clementon Gun Club Annual Picnic." 1200 people. Both kinds of music - Country AND Western! Clams, raw and steamed, ribs (with Eastern North Carolina BBQ sauce), pulled pork sandwiches, crabs, corn on the cob, steamed shrimp, hot dogs, burgers, cheese fries, salads, watermelon and beer - lots of beer. 'Twas awesome! Abby won a lobster! To be honest, we didn't motor over. Weather forecast was calling for thunderstorms, which never materialized. A.PNG B.PNG C.PNG D.PNG E.PNG
