Ride out today to Ace Cafe. While there I bought a couple of new patches for my cutoff. The old AceCafe patch is a wee bit worse for wear.
Another great day out in the sun Su still has a grin after getting best bike from Sammy's pic of the day
@Helmut Visor (on his Tuono) and I did a fun local loop this morning with the bonus of minimal traffic and stopped on the way home for coffee at Dom's Bike Stop. Seems like everyone else had had the same "get out earlier than usual" idea today as the car park was packed!
I went for a lovely 94 mile Mountain run to celebrate my Mum's 94 Birthday , bless her everlovin Irish soul.
Finally got round to playing with the suspension settings on my Thruxton R. Went to pretty much comfort settings and took her for a thrash over the Lecht road to Granton on Spey. Much improved ride and still able to get it right over through the bends. Wish I had done it ages ago!
Met up with the TOMCC Berks lads for a drink and a burger. Nice evening talking bikes, organs and Diesel oil.
After my tire change on the BONNIE yesterday (https://www.thetriumphforum.com/threads/new-tires-for-my-bonnie.35184/), I was able to enjoy the new driving experience today on the ride to the office! Even on cobblestones you notice the much better road holding and the higher ride comfort of the new tires.
I had a few hours out this morning as I have some time off work. Stopped for a coffee at an airfield where a chinook was paying a visit and managed to beat the rain . This time last year I was feeling nervous / excited about my CBT the next morning and now I'm riding about happily on my own bike!
I let the heli refuel and leave before I left myself, I've been in their downwash on a fair few occasions and attempting to ride slowly through it as it was right on the edge of the road would not have been smart .
Had a brilliant run yesterday down by Knockhill and Falkland on some fantastic roads with my mate no pics though, but this is a picture from Thursday especially for @Sprinter
Im a city slicker tonight, took the scenic route down from Aberdeenshire through Braemar Pitlochery Creif Callander. Top roads beautiful Scotland all around. Only stopped to fill the bike with fuel. Now it's my turn. I will enjoy that tractor pick tomorrow when I'm back home in t countryside. Cheers.
