Thanks @Sandi T , it’s a great bike to ride; not the fastest or most practical bike I’ve owned but it’s got character. Very happy with how it’s turned out, was 100% standard when I got it and had a vision how I wanted it to look.

    Yesterday actually.

Went for a morning ride around local roads before it got too hot, just to ensure that I'd got the rear shocks tightened up ok (I had:relieved:) and to see if the Bell Bullitt helmet is any quieter with a flat visor as opposed to the bubble visor (I'd read some reviews suggesting this and it's true it is quieter :expressionless:; quiet being relative with this helmet).

Then a late morning Hot chocolate and Bacon bap:yum at the Four Ways café, which was quite busy (not surprising given the weather:sun:). As I left I found a Thruxton R with flat bars and knobblys had parked up next to me:cool:.

Then back home to fit some 2nd hand black lower handle bar clamps from a 2018 T100 black I'd found on eBay: The standard silver Cup clamps clashed with the black machined alloy upper clamp:confused:.

    During refit.

    After refit

This gave me time to have a good look around the front end to better understand the challenges of relocating the rectifier and having some brackets made to secure the indicators and rear of the Thruxton half fairing:cool: that I intend to fit this winter.

Still glad I got my bike.:)

That guy was there a couple of months ago. He lives on a narrow boat and told me the tyres are for when he rides on the tow path to get out onto the roads!

Today I received my ordered framed pictures! I love them!

After that, I helped my father with remodeling work in his apartment. He lives in a very interesting apartment complex on the southern outskirts of Vienna. From his balcony you have a beautiful view of southern Vienna and parts of Lower Austria.

@Markus I have seen those apartments online, all the greenery and the facilities sound and look lovely. Great views too.

Commute again for me today, working from home tomorrow so may have a very rare day (at the moment) of no riding!

@Mrs Visor: From 1985 to 2006 I lived there too. Living there is like living in a village. You meet each other often and know a lot of residents. About 10,000 people live on 2.5 square kilometers of land.

Today was the day. After I received in the mail from my dealer the papers for the registration of my new bike, I could register it and set off on my last ride with my TIGER 1200 Alpine Edition.
It has accompanied me the last 2 years over 35,000 km across Europe and was a faithful companion.
After our 100 km trip to my dealer I handed him over and received my new bike.
The Honda NT-1100 accompanies me already tomorrow to Salzburg, because I have to do there for a few days professionally.
The first 120 km were already very pleasant! The consumption is extremely low! 4.5 l/100 km at 65% of the distance on the highway / expressway and the rest in part alpine terrain. Let's see how this develops in the future.
    Goodbye TIGER!
