Just back from a brilliant days riding, perfect weather and fantastic quiet roads, first stop was at the café about 10 miles from Tomintoul. Quick photos while my mate visited the loos!

from there we went up to Dufftown then took the B914 up to the small town of keith, a brilliant road that i don't remember ever being on, from there we took the A95 to Craigellachie another cracking Rd (i cant believe I've never been on that road before!), we stopped off at The Copper Dog a lovely hotel which I've also never been to before but I'll definitely be back

From there we took another Rd I'd never been on, the B9102, looking on Google maps it looks like a single track as it doesn't have lines down the middle but it's not, it's another cracking Rd! it takes you into Grantown On Spey. Our next stop was at the Cairngorm Hotel in Aviemore

From there we took the B9152/A96 to Laggan where we turned off to Dalwhinnie, our final coffee stop before home

Today I had a day off work to ride 40 miles to the Triumph dealership for the Striple to be serviced; I had to wait as I haven't had my license long enough to get a courtesy bike. The roads there are nice to ride until the last 8 - 10 miles and @Helmut Visor finished work early so rode over to meet me and we rode back together :). Realised I haven't used my car for over a week now, this bike thing gets under your skin .

@Mrs Visor: This will come true. My wife is working abroad for some months. Therefore I will ride to her on my new bike, when our schedules match. 8 - 10 hours ride for one direction, depending on the traffic.

Wow, Markus! You are a certainly a man who can make a pretty spontaneous decision! But I love that you do it with data and specs and a purpose in mind for the new choice. Hope you enjoy that bike as much as you have enjoyed the Tiger. Is your wife now thinking of a Honda, too, or does she still love her Tiger 900??

Looks like a fantastic day out on the bike with mates, @Dougie D. Life is good..particularly when it's filled with friends, food, and riding! :) And some beautiful scenery doesn't hurt, either.:sun:

So cool that you're getting to ride so much with your commuting, @Mrs Visor. How long do you have to have your license in order for your dealership to give you a courtesy bike??

12 months @Sandi T and I have had mine about five and a half months. I am loving all the riding; got to pack it in when the weather's so lovely as it could be blizzards tomorrow then a heatwave the next day knowing our climate :p.

"Packing it in" is probably a good way to live one's life even without weather concerns, @Mrs Visor! One never knows what lies around the next corner or the next day. So glad that you are riding so much and having a blast!! :)

@Sandi T: Thank you for your compliments! My wife will go on with her beloved TIGER 900. The seathight of the HONDA would not allow safe riding for her.

I was up and out early this morning for a quick blast on a local route I love - perfect conditions, hardly any traffic and one of those lovely rides where it all just flows :).
