I am itching to change bikes, again. Currently on 2008 BMW F800S, but dearly want to come back to the Triumph fold. My Triumph history:- in 2004, bought a nice 2001 TT600 in yellow. Traded that in for brand new 2005 955i Sprint RS Executive. Sold that around four years ago. Now my question for the four pot guys, and any one else with an opinion come to that, should I have a TT again or move up to a Daytona? Have my eye on really good examples of both bikes and can't decide.

    Cheers,

    Dave.

    Thanks for the welcome, guys.
My status at home would diminish quite rapidly if I bought both!
Obviously I have experience of the TT and I enjoyed it, if only briefly. I believe, in general, the TT is regarded as the more comfortable of the two and the Daytona a little more sport focused. Oh Lord, some divine guidance, please.

is there a chance you could get test ride of the daytona? it is a proper sports bike so i wouldn't think it'd be as comfy on longer journeys or if you are in town a lot

Sorry biglad, born and dragged up just outside east London I'm afraid. Bugger me! there's another one of me around. I'll keep a low profile I think.

I have a 2003 daytona 600. She is wider than a tt. I'm 5'7 and 9 stone and can chuck her round the twistys with gusto, and the slow speed ride is great as she only weighs 195 wet.throttle is a tiny bit snappy in 1St round town. Did a six hour ride round the peaks with brief stops three times and felt fine apart from a little saddle sore, but a gel pad would probably sort that out. Dunno about the tt, but the daytona does get hot through town riding and traffic. The fan kicks in fine tho. I toyed with a tt too, but the looks won me over on the daytona. Either way you picked the right brand :D

Thanks for the welcome chaps. TT has gone . Guess the decision has been made for me. Will try to view the bike early next week. Wayne I am near the Dartford crossing, sleepy hamlet called Aveley.

Vlad thanks for the write up. Sore arse is nothing new to me. I cycle as a pastime. Look like a badly stuffed sausage in lycra but enjoy it.

Vlad, of coarse, never worry about the one that got away. As for the colour, I'd prefer a yellow one so it matches my Skoda Octavia vRS
