just joined the forum after snatching up a Thruxton R at the weekend, picking it up on Thursday hopefully. Sold my 1098 last week and thought I'd make do without a road bike for a while, that didn't last long.
Love the bike but cant get my head around the fact that everything I tried to order for it was on back order.

image.jpeg Here it is, took this on Monday whilst I was on the test ride. Its the demonstrator from Performance Triumph in Swindon, popped in Saturday morning to find out about delivery times and was told it was 3-4 months but their demo was going up for sale after the weekend. Put my deposit down on it there and then much to the bloke who 10 minutes after came in and wanted to buy the same bike (his order is going to be ready in September).

I'm not too far from Newbury, we'll have to arrange a Thruxton ride out as I should also get mine on Thursday.
Apparently some of the accessories aren't gong to be ready until August!

Definately up for a blat some time Giles. What are you going for? Tail tidy, cans and the nose fairing are on order although I'm toying with binning the cans and going for another brand.

I have the tail tidy and indicators and have ordered a screen which won't be here until July. I also have the cans but am having second thoughts as there may be an explosion of other options, although the V & H cans do look and sound great....

image.jpeg image.jpeg Today has been a good, no great day. First I picked up my new AMG C63 then straight to Swindon to pick up the Thruxton. Deal done then over to the parts dept to order some bits. Tail tidy which will hopefully be in next week and the fairing which I was expecting to be next month. Bugger me they only had a fairing so all I need to do is fit it which looking at the bag of bolts, washers spacers isn't something that my level of patience can take. Will get it fitted at the local bike shop.
