    Well, it's, erm........BRILLIANT!!:joy: although the first 18 months, in and out of Covid lockdowns and restrictions were a bit of a PITA. 2 years on and my body clock still thinks I've got to go to work and wakes me up around 7am, so I just turn over for an extra hour ZZZZzzzzzzz lovely! Retirement also brought me my first Triumph (retirement present to self) so absolutely nothing to dislike about it!:grinning:

    Today I cursed at just how bad the Bluetooth integration in the tiger 900 is. It’s so bad that I deleted the triumph app from my phone, unpaired the bike from everything, disabled Bluetooth in the bike, and turned off all the dash widgets related to it.

    feh.

    That looks and sounds divine, Pegscraper. I feel the need to find a place like that around where I live. The only problem is there's no water and precious little grass. Perhaps a little spot on Mt. Lemmon tomorrow is in order.

    @Aaron Brown
    Wow! Well, so much for technology, Aaron. But take heart, perhaps it's a sign that you need to do what @Pegscraper just mentioned in his recent post in this thread...."listen to birdsong, feel in touch with nature, savor". That said, I know how absolutely infuriating it is when supposed "technology" gets the better of us! :mad:

    meh. I’ll just go back to using maps from my phone on road, my gps off road, and voice commands to my phone via my Sena 50s. All of which work flawlessly :)

    Looks like a hosepipe ban is the next headline in the papers…
    What a lovely place just “ to be”.

    Wow @Pegscraper that really is low for this time of year. Beautiful place to just "be". I love trail running so much because it gives me the chance to just immerse myself in nature and my surroundings.

    Noted the sign doesn't mention " No Street Scramblers " .. remember to pack the wire snips from now on ! Heh, heh, can still remember feeling quite in touch with nature a couple of times .. damned irrigation ditches hiding in long grass at the side of the road. Maybe it was that '59 Bonnie getting it's own back for being treated unkindly ? " Such is youth " (to slightly misquote Ned Kelly a little)

    i always go out for a run with my mate on Fridays but only occasionally take photos as i feel guilty stopping! but managed to sneak a couple today. we did the brilliant Callander loop which has become a favourite of mine recently.
    Can you guess what was in the white box? (I'm not clever enough to remove it and replace it with the background scenery) I have Photoshop elements and if anyone can explain how to do it in baby language it would be appreciated!)

    Yeah it was a wheelie bin, if I was on my own I would have moved it before taking the photo!

    Has to be an obligatory wheelie bin? I'll remove it for you if you want

    It's unusual for a wheelie bin to be in the middle of nowhere, normally they would have a permanent bin at a layby. I wouldn't bother removing it as its not a great pic anyway but it would be handy to know how you do it, Do you use Photo Shop?

    Yeah I have photoshop. I dont use it for minipulation, thats an art on its own. I use it more for general editing and blending multiple images with different focus points or exposures. I reckon I could do a half decent job of removing unwanted objects.

    I used to use photoshop when I was editing the videos I made when riding my bike ( my son showed me the basics for that) I remember seeing a video a number of years ago on how to remove objects from photos and there was numerous steps you had to do and it looked really complicated.. I'll just make sure if I'm taking a photo I want to keep I'll look out for bins etc before snapping!

    I'm glad the mystery was solved before I made my guess because my guess was that your mate was on the side of the road "watering" the grass, @Dougie D. :joy: I've been a runner and a cyclist too many years, I guess, and those have left me thinking that roadside modesty is somewhat a thing of the past. :rolleyes: That really would have been a terrific photo of your muscle-y Rocket 3 and your mate's gixr. It's still a good one. Perhaps you could add a caption to that looming white space? It does look a bit like a scroll. ;)

    Wonderful photo, Matt! I love all those jet streams. :heart_eyes: Is there an air force base nearby or something?
