Bought a quickshifter on clearance so more than 50% off. Happy with that!

New intercom, well I never install the mic. So in fact I bought Bluetooth speakers for the helmet.

Rocket 3 Bar ends for my Street Cup.

Ever wish you hadn't gone down the style it up rabbit hole? So I looked up the part numbers for the bar end weights for an R3 GT and ignored the ridiculous number of extra bits for fixing them : wrong).

So the bar ends arrive and obviously won't simply screw on:eek:: I've already paid for them, so I must now order the extra parts to make them fit, doubling the price of the bar ends:sob:. Talk about over engineered.

In my defence Triumph's instructions for fitting their accessory alloy bar end mirrors identify one screw to remove the bar end weights just like the bar end finishers on the Bonnevilles; that's because all the above mentioned extra parts remain assembled together (see photo).

My advice to owners of the new Rocket 3, avoid damaging your handlebars because it won't be a cheap repair. Oh well lesson learned and at least my lovely Street Cup will be unique to me. Anyone want to buy some immaculate black bar end finishers? I have some spare now.

I always went P&O out of Larne, but this time its Stena Line out of Belfast. I'm not taking a ferry staffed with ultra cheap indian agency workers with no experience! :worried:
They even grounded one of P&O's ferrys at Larne port the other week over saftey concerns with the new crew. The European Causeway, a boat I have travelled on many times.

I thought that would be your response. I’m sure there will be many others of the same mind.

So, my plan to extend my clutch cable was to mod the original one with a 90 degree ferrule and to solder on a new nipple (which I'd have to remove to get the ferrule on). Unfortunately I didn't do my research beforehand and the cable is stainless steel and you need special flux for soldering it. Ordered flux 4pm yesterday and arrived 9am today...

For something that I may only use once it cost rather a lot. (ÂŁ24 once VAT and delivery added ) but thought I'd give my cable making every chance of working and being reliable. I've also ordered a very dodgy (judging by Amazon reviews) solder pot.

Mosfet Regulator rectifier - helps a lot with my 2011 Triumph America that uses the smaller battery than later models. I remounted it into airflow below the oil cooler. Also wired so that charge goes directly to battery.

A custom repaint job on the front fender on my Street Glide. Thank you, Department of Transportation, for thinking chip sealing is a good way to repair roadways. :( Most likely the next thing I'll be buying is clear film coating (and installation) on that same fender and on the fairing, too.

Bought a silver mirror visor and pinlock for my Caberg Ghost from www.racevisors.co.uk They were by far the cheapest but had some shocking reviews (read after I ordered :worried:). I have to say they were very good and it arrived this morning after 7 days. Ordered Tues night, emailed Sat asking for despatch confirmation, email reply Mon, arrived today (Wed). Very happy

Did you paint the pudding basin and I missed it somehow, @PatW? I've been looking forward to seeing its transformation. :)

I bought Kuryakyn Iso-Grips with Throttle Boss for my Street Glide Special. I had a pair of these grips on my first touring bike, a Harley Road King, and loved them. But I wasn't particularly keen on the looks. However, I'm having some issues with my hands so in this case form is following function. Even on the short 12-mile ride home from the dealership this morning indicated to me that I made the right decision about going back to them. Mr. Sandi has purchased a set, too (sans Throttle Boss).

They are super comfortable, @Wessa. It's a testament to just how comfortable when you go to most any motorcycle rally and see how many bikes are equipped with them.
