Most second hand bikes ive had come with tyres that dont inspire confidence, squared off to fuck! Start to drop it into a corner then it falls off the edge & your arsehole clenches the saddle! Lol  First job is usually to invest in new boots.
Glad you like it Bry...I prefered the newer bikes handling...give Jim a shout he has some cans so it will sound right...
Got he new boots fitted today (Pilot Road 3s). Went to Llandovery and back. Didn't realise how much the scary tyre thing last weekend had shaken my confidence but it was coming back by the end of the 300 miles today but think I'll need another ride or two to settle in properly. On the plus side look - a shiny new nail in my shiny new tyre! Fuckpissshitfannytitswancunt!:
Having decent rubber is great for confidence building, but like you said after riding with shot tyres it takes a few miles to feel comfortable again.
It's the braking that's been doing my head in the most - it was under heavy-ish braking that the front end gave way last weekend but I'll be OK - just not felt right going heavy-ish into corners!
What tyres did you have on your old triple Bry? If there were the same you know what They can do...it's a new bike so will take a bit of getting used too..
Pilot road 3s. And you're right - I was forcing my head to accept them, knowing what they can do! And you're also right about getting used to a new bike. x
