Thanks, @Mrs Visor. I've added the cafe to the map.

Not far enough to warm the bike up but met some nice chaps at the local hotrod monthly get together. Just a few bikes there. Lots of nice comments on ye olde Bonny....

    1.jpg

A small group of noise machine bobber sportster things showed up for 10 minutes and blew the roof tiles off when they left. Then there was this, which was very nice

    2.jpg

Lots of very nice cars and flat bed trucks

    3.jpg

    6.jpg

    And this....blimey

    8.jpg

And I thought this said "Gay Plumbing" - I don't think the owner was happy when I mentioned it :)

    7.jpg

I was asked, twice, how much I wanted for the Bonny, I agreed to a first refusal if and when I sell it. And then asked, also twice, if I'd build one to sell. Even, one guy, who would supply the base bike from his collection. (Lots of money in Bath) I'm retired though so no deals struck.

Had to have a gander inside the headlamp bowl today, jesus the quality of the connectors is absolutely shite! The indicator males and females are particularly fragile and cheap so I'm adding quality replacements to the list for next winters fettling, the weather is too good to miss riding right now. Took a trip up to cwm rhaeder, only 20 minutes from the new house, photos don't do the falls justice 20220321_125816.jpg

@Iron, I lived just outside Bath, Combe Down from age 7 until 23, moved out to the Somerset country when the money moved in.

Yep, worked in Combe Down for a bit and was involved slightly with the strengthening works to the old stone mines, as you probably know, they were close to collapse.
People who's houses were directly over the mine held up by worn and weathered stone columns actually didn't want the work to be done. Go figure?
The environmentalists were worried about the bats that lived there so the council had a special bat cave built for them to move into. Trouble is, it was such a nice bat cave, it wasn't only the Boy Wonder who lived there, word got around so millions of 'em moved in from all over the country .
House owners now have a certificate to say the strengthening under their house has been completed. Bolloxed if I'd buy one.

We used to go down there as kids and also as adults, there was an entrance from the back of the Hadley Arms pub, I owned a couple of fields between Ralph Allen school and the old combe Grove Hotel, gate was on shaft Road adjacent to the quarries, I kept horses and a few steers, a hole opened up in one of my fields but I wasn't allowed to fill it up as Bats were going in and out so I just had to fence it off. I sold the fields to the hotel and its a golf driving range now apparently

I ended up taking mine off the windshield mount bracket. Primarily because I do a fair amount of offroad riding, and the mount shakes enough to make the sat nav pretty much unusable offroad. I switched back to a handlebar mount for mine, which is less than ideal from a placement standpoint, but at least remains stable enough to use.

Glorious weather this afternoon in sunny Norfolk, so I thought I’d get out and about on the bike. I don’t normally bother stopping for pictures when I’m on the bike, but inspired by some of the wonderful shots on this thread, I thought I should make an effort.

Very pleased you got some use out of the map! I thought that was the Ribblehead Viaduct at first but the realised it's a bit short.

Took mine to work today... a bit nippy at 5C this morning, glorious at 19C this afternoon. I might have exceeded the speed limit at times... :joy:

I had the same first couple of kilometres - got used to them rapidly though. Excellent in both dry and wet.

Absolutely! First set lasted a good 12.000km, excellent value. They got abused, too... :p
