https://thecowshedatfraisthorpe.co.uk/ Been to this place a few times, good on each occasion. Wifey has found her current fave sandwich here, Brie honey and walnut on sourdough Parking is on gravel near the toilets but it’s level and you should be ok without a stand puck (but if you’ve got one )
Cheers, Adie. Recommendations from people's travels, far and wide, make for an even more interesting background to the pins on the map.
Cheers. That's been added. Happy to spend the time. I hope other people find it interesting or useful as I do.
Looks like a terrific place, @Yorkshireman. And how can you not love a place that clearly states that they are "Dog Friendly"?!
I also highly recommend: Half Way House Tavern halfwayhouserestaurant.com 26 Main St, Ravena, NY 12143 (518) 756-9720 This "Hole In The Wall" tavern has been in the same family for 100 years. It's about 20 miles south of Albany, NY. They have photos of doughboys, having returned from The Great War, enjoying themselves at the bar. They have the best hamburger I have ever had. I have gotten up in the early morning and rode the 220 miles to this place for lunch, just for one of their burgers. Bill "Moose" Misuraca is the owner. Along about 1:00 am, he would lock the front door and then the PARTY would begin. I woke up on more than one occasion outside in the flower bed. I haven't been for a couple years, but I keep in touch with Moose. He has since become all respectable and is now actually the mayor (Hizzoner) of Ravena! Well, la-dee-da. I will be hooking up with some of the old gang this spring and heading up.
Now up to 120 places in 12 countries. Anyone in Canada or South America with some recommendations? Or Italy, eastern Europe, Australia, Africa? I know we have members in some of those locations at least. So where do you go and what's worth seeing? https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit?mid=1SfBMdXqrLBj61beUUNrdAvQFuFxYUfxm&usp=sharing
Just found this excellent project. Checking the local sites, I think we have a bit of a mix up. the Super Sausage shown in the middle of Northampton is the first photo below. Whereas, the photo attached to that location is the Super Sausage just north of Pottersbury on the A5, second photo.
I went to get some cheese A great excuse to ride 100 miles round trip, the road climbs the sierra and has some interesting twisty sections before arriving at a little old town called "Atemajac" A little hotel makes the most fantastic cheese, it is awesome to make quesadillas. 1 kg bar costs $5 dollars and everyone at home loves it, I try to hide it in a rear corner of the fridge so that it lasts a little longer, if my son finds it ... it does not last long A few images from the town and the store.
!00 miles for cheese. Proof that bikers will use any excuse to get out on the road. Did you want me to add either the town or the hotel to the map, @Armando Morales?
