A Three also ! First guess. Quest got me 0 , second guess , I found two consonants in right place and A vowel ! Don't quite get how I got it on the next !?!? ???
Round robin has nothing to do with birds bud. It is not a descriptive way of talking about a fat bird but rather a competition where a number of teams play all the other teams. As an example the GBR curling teams are at the moment in a round robin competition that will determine who plays who in the A and B final. https://www.collinsdictionary.com/dictionary/english/round-robin
I didn’t say a round-robin was, but you will note that the phrase to which your hyperlink takes us is hyphenated. Whilst the two words are not concatenated they are not entirely separate words as seen in the original post and how I referred to them. I also understand that as well as being a description of how teams may compete against each other the phrase can also be used to describe a note or message that is circulated to every member of a group.
I think getting letters in the right place seems to be the clincher for me. Just recently, after the second go, confirming the vowels, I had four letters but all in the wrong place. I really struggled with my third shot.
Took an hour, even though I had the word in half that time I was desperate not to get my first six so took just as long convincing myself that there were no other options I could think of. Still only had 3 letters on the fourth row.
4 again here… I guessed at the word on the second go, but in retrospect… with the letters I had, there were so many words it could have been, I should probably have tried to discover the rest of the unknown letters. But all’s well that ends well, eh?
5. Worst score in a long time. We know the reason : double letters…GRRRR.! Mrs O scored four. So that should put her in a better mood after her Valentine’s Day disappointment.Postman lost her card
