As there are a few competition minded folk on the forum... I thought I’d just share the Sudoku daily challenge I’ve started doing, in case anyone is interested. The good thing about this one is you can pause it and return and it doesn’t add unnecessary time onto the clock... today was hard (I thought) and in fits and starts, I got in in under an hour... good exercise to stave off the Alzheimer’s (hopefully). https://sudoku.com/challenges/daily-sudoku
Wow... I was really struggling... well done!! I wonder if they are all the same puzzle (like wordle) or if they are all random?
Haven't a clue but I have a suduko app that I play from time to time so I'd say I'm pretty good at it. Plus I work with numbers. I reckon I'd be faster if you could select a number and tap the relevant squares like my app. Selecting a square then a number as a bit slower.
Ok... I found a cheating method, not exactly working it out but (semi) random number taps and delete if red and try again... not in the spirit of the game I feel! And not how I’ll play... but check out my time! That auto check for mistakes button will be off from now on.
Seems it regenerates the puzzle... so back to my normal style with the error button off... 35mins 45sec (oops, slightly extended lunch)
I did make one mistake today and saw it hilight red, only because I tapped 2 instead of 1 on my phone screen. If you guys like suduko you should try the app called "minimal suduko". I find it a much nicer layout, being able to pre select a number then tap the square you want to place it is great too. Been through a fair few apps before I settled on this one
I tried the minimal sudoku app... it didn’t gel for me, so I’ve gone back to this site... a better time for me this time.
