Without a doubt. He's one of those who believes we're being secretly manipulated and exploited by shape shifting aliens who are really lizards. Remember "V"? you're pretty much there. :)

"It is far easier to fool someone than to convince them they've been fooled."

When all is said and done I never locked down, rarely wore a mask, and didn't submit to any jabs. I listened to numerous self-righteous braggarts go on and on for months about "the science" and pat themselves on the back every time they got another needle stuck in them… only to ultimately get the illness anyway. Then even after it went away and they got through their "mild flu-like symptoms" they still got more jabs and wore a face diaper wherever they went. I got to watch businesses all over downtown maliciously chase non-compliant people away and eventually collapse. Now that it's all mysteriously going away they're all crying the blues and playing the blame game. This whole thing simply became an opportunity for a lot of pathetic characters who've never really made a difference in the world to suddenly get to play cop and throw their weight around in a pitiful attempt to validate themselves. More and more truths will be surfacing over the next year or so and I'm looking forward to hearing everybody's feeble excuses and contrived sanctimonious explanations.

It came to a point somewhat early on to me that this whole thing was just a laughable charade and an idiotic clown show. It's been entertaining to say the least.

Looks like someone can't handle that they have been lied to the entire time now that the truth is finding it's way out.

We've already established that you have poor objectivity and huge confirmation bias issues. Your attempt to be smug in the face of the thousands who have died during this pandemic is unfortunate.

The question raised is a valid question and should be carefully looked at to guide future policies, however the paper that it based is a "working paper", which essentially means it's not peer-reviewed and reflects only the opinions of the three authors named. As such the paper being released and used as headline selling “fact” is inappropriate, surprise surprise....
But ok, let’s have a quick butchers... in their conclusion, they state...

In the early stages of a pandemic, before the arrival of vaccines and new treatments, a society can respond in two ways: mandated behavioral changes or voluntary behavioral changes. Our study fails to demonstrate significant positive effects of mandated behavioral changes (lockdowns). This should draw our focus to the role of voluntary behavioral changes. Here, more research is needed to determine how voluntary behavioral changes can be supported. But it should be clear that one important role for government authorities is to provide information so that citizens can voluntarily respond to the pandemic in a way that mitigates their exposure.

The paper is not arguing that our behaviour in the pandemic shouldn’t use mitigating factors like social distancing or mask use (it actually suggests that the masks do provide some benefit btw) but governments should not mandate a “lockdown” but to give all the information to the public and let them behave how they want... it also isn’t suggesting that lives weren’t saved (by some strange looking meta analysis - I would be really interested in reading the peer reviews) but that the lives saved were not valuable enough to warrant the expensive choice of the governments. There’s a bold value judgment...

A well made, valid point. It will fall on deaf ears, sadly.

I have to second what Golgotha has said.

EVERYONE I know that was vaxxed, boosted, masked, etc. got sick with either the Delta or Omicron variants. My eldest, Laura, and her fiancé were hit with the Delta variant and were terribly ill for two weeks last summer after all the jabbing. My granddaughter, AJ, never got the Delta, even though she was with my eldest during her illness. AJ then tested positive in January. VERY mild symptoms, likely Omicron. Laura then tested positive in January even after being vaxxed/boosted AND having had Delta. She had much milder symptoms than she did last summer, again, likely Omicron. The wife and I are not vaxxed. We only wore masks when we were had to, like when entering a store that required it. Before we knew AJ was positive we had her over. We both tested positive four days later in January. VERY mild symptoms for three days, then all better on the fourth day. When I told people I'd had the COVID and how mild it was they'd say "Well, it's a good thing you were vaxxed. It would have been worse." When I tell them I was not vaxxed, they just stand there looking dumb. HOW could anyone know symptoms among the vaxxed would be milder?

My point is, I don't think the CDC, the NIH or WHO has a fecking clue. It is apparent the vaccinations are only minimally effective, if at all.

With that in mind, they want stick a needle in me loaded with some concoction that is not a true vaccine. It is not made of degraded or dead pathogens. It's entirely entirely man-made. We or our families are prohibited from suing the manufacturers if we are disabled or die. Finally, the FDA has requested the research data from the development of the "vaccine" be kept secret for OVER FIFTY FECKING YEARS.

The vaccine does not appear to protect you. It does not appear to prevent shedding the virus. It does not appear to mitigate symptoms if you do get sick.
Well, what the feck DOES it do?

I'm not anti-vax. If you want it - knock yourself out.

Unlike a true vaccine, which targets a specific pathogen, the COVID shot gets into every cell in your body. We or our families are prohibited from suing the manufacturers if we are disabled or die. In my opinion, we've wrecked our economies, destroyed lives and livelihoods, fecked up our children emotionally and mentally all with very little positive effect, if any.

I will admit that the study is based from an economics standpoint rather than a health standpoint. But when you look at it from a moral standpoint you would also have to take into account the lives ruined by lockdowns, suicides, bankruptcies, marriages, ect. Lockdowns do nothing to keep society moving forward and cause undue stress on the population. Risk of death is something we live with everyday regardless of your situation so what is the better choice, destroying our lives through lockdowns or a slim chance of death from a beefed up flu?
