I’ve just seen some of tributes to him I hope paradise is just how you remember it by the dashboard light - Stephen Fry
Sad day. I think most have at least one track of his on their play list or in their collection. RIP Meatloaf.
Seen him quite a few times in Manchester and Liverpool. Thought him and Patti Russo were a great act.
i would have loved to have seen him in his hayday, i saw him in Glasgow it must have been about 12 years ago and he was well past his best unfortunately
So sad to hear of Meatloaf’s passing. Bat out of hell single and album will be forever linked with motorcycling for me. Released in 1977, I left home and started work and bought my first motorcycle in 1978 (a red Suzuki 250X7 AVM19T). The apprentice hostel where I lived was often resonating to those incredible songs, they seemed to catch the mood of so many teenagers and twenty somethings of those days. I can’t hear those songs without remembering riding around Worcestershire and Gloucestershire with those great songs in my head. The CD was played today and a clear vinyl LP was ordered this morning (can’t beat the warmth of vinyl) RIP Meatloaf
I love my wife, dearly, BUT, what married man hasn't at SOME point thought - "God only knows what I could do right now."
True but he had collapsed on stage a good number of times in the last two decades and had a rare heart condition. Then he didn't get vaccinated so he was an excellent candidate to get a bad case of covid.
