Hello all, names Aaron, from New Orleans Louisiana, ride 2004 triumph Daytona 600 since 2012. Previous owner did not respect the beast. Lots of TLC needed, I mean lots!!! Crank no start, fuel leaks under fuel pump mounting plate, cockpit subframe was cracked, every fairing damaged, rear tire rubbed through rear fairing and into the ecm and engine harness because it was lowered, LOTS OF TLC! Anywho I’m a cummins diesel tech by trade so I needed a project. Long story short very hard to find parts and/ or trust eBay at last resport. Did a bunch of work off and on over the years cause life got busy. Well Dec 2022 thanks to all the parts people and the tuneECU software the D600 runs so smooth and sounds amazing with the tune I have customized off of the 30035hex map. I get compliments all the time about how nice it sounds or how good it looks from 40yards away hahaha. So yes I’m at the stage of replacing fairing and just recently purchased the last known rear fairing available in USA from factory for just under $400 . Anywho that’s my story and current obstacle. Thank y’all for the welcoming! It has been a long and expensive road but so worth the looks and compliments I get from people. I still have a long road ahead but it is on the roadways now running right and smooth which is my #1 goal! Now my number #2 goal is for the bike to look as good as it runs, if anyone knows where to find good quality close to or factory fairing please let me know. I did a dumb and bought a $500 fairing kit off eBay and it’s horrible. We all learn from mistakes and experience and I learned I want damn near perfect for my D600. Once again thanks for the welcoming and will post progress as it comes, y’all have a great welcoming to the new year!

Hi ClutchD600 and welcome to the friendly forum, I congratulate you on a fine job. Air-Tech Streamlining 2530 Fortune Way Vista, CA 92081 USA
Call: +1-760-598-3366 Fax: +1-760-598-3336, they have high quality replacement fairings, have it painted in the Valmoto colours (same scheme as Bruce Anstey's TT winning bike) and that will look super cool.

Street legal fairing. That's a new one on me. Is there such regulation in the UK as well, does anyone know?

If u look at the pictures of fairing, well at least the top fairing it doesn’t have cutout for headlights etc, and in Louisiana the on highway regulations are redic and expensive,

Hi Octoberon, there is currently no UK legislation that prevents any restriction on what fairing/fairings you can place on a motorcycle, indeed it is perfectly legal to register and use on the road a race machine, it does not even require lights, the only requirement is a horn, and that does not need to be electric. Thank goodness we can currently modify or customise what we like here in the UK. I guess it must be a state to state issue in the USA, I say this as there are an awful lot of custom shops in the States that turn out road legal machines, with and without fairings.

Hi ClutchD600, you are correct re the cut outs, what you have to do is drill your own holes for the fixings, and the same for the headlights, it's a straightforward job, all you need are basic skills and an excellent result can be achieved especially as you have the original fairings as a template. Given the excellent work you have done already I am sure you could easily sort it out, whatever you decide good luck with the progress and keep the forum posted.
