Boy oh boy Darkman you have a job on your hands there. I guess i know how your festive season will pan out this year. I can't wait to see the bike when it has been in the hands of a master.
    Joe.

my morgo was flooded once and the gearbox had rust in it when i tore it down. but it did not look as bad as that outer cover.

what do the gears and shafts look like?

Sadly most of the gears have pitting on them as do the shafts, possibly the layshaft will be ok but its that dilemma of how much pitting is acceptable. I will give them a thorough clean and then decide :) Luckily i have a good few spare parts.

Cheers Sandi, Su has always worked on bikes as like most teens growing up in the 70's if you wanted a bike it meant buying a cheap old scrapper and doing it up lol, she even had to give her nails a final scrub this morning before popping into work for a few hours. A pic of Su on her first Triumph in 1973/4.

Finally finished cleaning the gearbox parts, luckily i had a few new or nice second had parts and only need to buy the 3rd gears for the main and lay shaft. A pic of all the nasty parts to be replaced due to engine and box being full of water oil and sand :)

Todays little jobs, rebuild the rocker boxes after blasting with new seals and clean off the old packing grease from the new gears and make sure it all works.

Hi @darkman . Which blasting process(es) do you use and where do you get it done, please? Those engine cases look superb.
