    20c/68f in summer but crayfish in soft shell:weary_face: (Feb). I prefer the clearer waters of winter, but 18c/64f. Scallop season September to March :heart_eyes:(Spring/Summer)

    Yikes but that's cold water, Dartplayer! I wear a 7mm wetsuit when the water temps are 76-78ºF! Maybe I need to get drysuit certified. ;):joy:

    I understand. After living in the heat for more than 3 months, the blood definitely thins :cold_sweat:and you feel the cold more. I am happy with a 5mm year round and use a hood in winter :p

    Great post and pics, I miss NZ was there in 2006 and travelled around in an old Honda Civic.
    Would be cool to revisit the place and see if the bar where I worked at on Cuba Street is still there (JJ murphys)

    I was working in turangi. in 1969 working for nz road makers on draglines on the power scheme when that finished was working on dozers enjoyed it while I was there bit on the cold side in winter
