In the spirit of SleepyOwl's post #1 in this thread: The skiing season has started, and I have just spent the afternoon watching ski jumping. It's been a few decades since I sold my ski jumping gear, but I still love to see photos from the era when I was first attracted to the sport. Norway, 1962. Brave guys.

 

I’m well impressed by their achievements.

But…

I’m more interested where they bought their rubber band…

That snowy picture is a cracker Mr Cooper, really speaks of the awful conditions they endured at the front.

reminded me of a picture i took in Tanzania in 2007

 

The horse and dray was installed today next to the old brewery site in Sunderland. Those dray horses were loved by everyone who saw them.
