Saniflow pump for my downstairs utility sink. Right now it's draining into the sump pit - just gray water, but still not a legal or a proper set-up. When installed it will pump the sink water up to the line that carries the kitchen sink waste water.
Pump arrived yesterday. I went to Lowe's today and bought all the PVC pipe and fittings. I'll do the install Monday.

Oh, and one of these gizmos. Throttle boss. Very helpful when starting up on a steep grade from a stop while trying hold the front brake lever and feather the clutch lever with the other hand.



Oh, and General Tso's Chicken. Had Chinese takeout tonight.

 

Personally I'd have opted for the heated gloves and a spare set of batteries, Dougie. But your new purchase does fit in with the BMW gadgetry and stuff and bells 'n whistles that my BMW riding buddies seem to love. I certainly hope they fulfill the function for which they were designed. But please don't put them on your Rocket.

Thanks for the video, photos, and back rest description, @Dartplayer. It seems like a terrific seat. The back rest on m La Pera is basically the same set up which I like a lot. I can't remember if I asked you this already and if I did I apologize. But which model is this Corbin?

I guess the title of this thread isn't all that specific, is it?

I do like those throttle boss gizmos. I find them very helpful on long rides to keep my throttle hand more relaxed.

 

A very cheap heated vest from eBay and an equally cheap power pack. It only came today and I haven't been out on the bike in it (it's mild today anyway!!) but it certainly seems to work. I have Raynaud's and am attempting to ensure my core stays warm in a bid to prevent my hands getting too bad on the bike too quickly when the temperature drops.

Got a towbar fitted to the car. Mainly for a cycle carrier (easier than hoisting the bikes up to my roof carriers) but could well have a look at a motorcycle trailer too...

 

My poor wallet... Had a front/rear dashcam fitted to my car today. Very neatly done but the poor tech could not get the app on my elderly phone to work. Sorted now after trying things recommended by user forums.

Hopefully I will not need to use it as evidence after an accident but you never know.

Like last week, I was ‘making progress’ along some winding country lanes (within the speed limit) but had to slow down to pass a herd of roaming Lycra clad cycle-beasts. This allowed a knackered old VW Golf to catch up.

No problem so far but then they started tail-gating, getting closer and closer.

I just slowed right down (thus having the opposite effect they’d hoped for) and got a proper glare from them when I finally turned off.

Wish I’d had a rear facing camera as the Police (around here) will write a nice letter to idiots, and even prosecute if serious enough.

Funny how the yoof think their driving skills and reaction times are so amazing that they can slipstream the car in front at a distance of 900nm, and be safe.

Blackvue DR750X-2CH Plus in the end. Mid range front/back model as I'd seen a lot of footage from them on Aussie YouTube video compilations* which looked very clear. I viewed a few clips from my drive back from the fitters and it's excellent, plus pro fitting means no dangling wires anywhere.

*Dashcam Owners of Australia is a great way to while away some time, plus it's one of the most concentrated forms of swearing on The Tube you'll find. So many bad drivers it's amazing there aren't more deaths on their roads! With so many incomers from countries that drive on the wrong side of the road it's not surprising really.

@Mrs V, I'm sorry to know you have Raynaud's and understand that a bit as I have a couple of friends with it. I hope that the heated vest from eBay works out well for you. I have a heated vest and it works great. Have you heard of HotHands? It's a cheap and pretty darned effective way to keep your hands warm(er). Here's a screen shot from Amazon if you're interested in checking them out. I used to use them regularly in the winter when riding my bicycle and they worked quite well.

 

Thanks @Sandi T it's a pain!! I have heard of them and tried them before, but not for many years - maybe a revisit is in order. I have tried all manner of things as I used to be outdoors a great deal for work (although work in an office now...) and still am for sport / pleasure. What is actually pretty effective is a pair of silk inner liner gloves if that is any help for your friends?
