Good thing I checked my phone before I headed back to town so I got a couple. I guess it was Subaru Day because oddly enough 2 of them tried to take me to task. 2 kids. One was a bit souped up and I had to work for it but the other I spanked thoroughly. He subtly announced his intentions on the line and gave it spurs in 2d gear. Pretty much made short work of him and he was pretty cool about it. The first guy was one of those pricks that thinks it never ends and keeps thinking he's got the juice. I had to go full Mad Max. This was my turnaround point. That's a legit DeSoto in the one pic. Stopped in there to get a chilled mineral water with lightly crushed spring water ice and an organic lemon wedge. It's just what I do. "Wine is fine but whiskey's better…"
The Saddle Up looks like my kind of place, Golgotha. One has to respect the the foresight of a bar owner who replaces all the easily broken and dangerous glass windows with plywood. Keeps unruly patrons from crashing through and into the street where they could get run over, not to mention never having to be replaced due to a thrown chair or bar stool. Your location, "Out In Front," is somewhat vague. I couldn't find it on Google Maps. Without giving away a precise location that potential assassins might use to find you, where is it, approximately? Or would that violate the conditions of the Witness Protection Program?

The bar is in Smithfield, NC. RTP is my AO these days. Spend a lot of time in the E'ern Colorado for work lately… unfortunately. F*ck that place. Actually Saddle Up's a pretty nice joint on the inside. The couple other pubs in town talk a lot of trash about it and until recently I bought in to their bullshit. It doesn't look like much from the outside but the inside is somewhat impressive, esp. considering it's Smithfield. They play a lot of new school Country, which isn't my thing but I can dig it here and there. Give me a sec and I'll scrounge up some interior pics.
@Fork Lock ... Like I said, not half bad considering the location. Right before the warehouse district in Smithfield, NC, which is the southern outermost limit of what could be considered the Raleigh burbs. It's pretty redneck/hood/barrio. Beyond that is bumpkinland.
I Googled Saddle Up. There are several around the country. I did see the one in NC. Smithfield, NC. Been through it on the way down to Myrtle and Daytona. Although, just to the southeast I see a place that looks like fun; Morehead.
Halloween is getting stranger these days! Last night the trick or treaters dumped bucket fulls of Lego on my front lawn… I just don’t know what to make of it???
