I had just sat down to dinner with my wife, Lori, who thinks she's the smartest person in the room in any given situation. Actually, she usually is, but... I made a tomato salad and was just about to put some Italian dressing on it from what I thought was a squeeze bottle after unscrewing the cap. At the last second I realized it was not a squeeze-type container and narrowly avoided pouring the entire contents onto my salad from the wide open bottle. "See," she says. "You need to learn to pay more attention." No sooner had the words left her lips, chiding me, when she unscrewed the shaker type flip cap off the bottle of Crystal Hot Sauce, meant to dispense a few drops at a time, and poured half the contents of the bottle onto her meal!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!! Karma. I jumped up to take a picture with my phone so I could send it to my girls, razzing their mother, and she began to pile onion rings and French Fries onto the puddle of hot sauce to hide her crime. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!
You go to a barbeque. The host hands you a gun. He says, " Take a look at my new piece. Don't worry, it's not loaded." You point the gun at another guest and pull the trigger without checking the weapon. It goes BANG! The other guest is killed. That is pretty much what Baldwin did and THAT is negligent homicide! Why is the press being so soft on poor Alec Baldwin? Why are they focusing on the prop master? Don't get me wrong, I feel for the guy and there's a lot of guilt to go around, but HE pulled the trigger!. He must feel like hell, but he stupidly killed a woman and wounded another person.
The guy that gave the gun to Baldwin presumably hadn’t checked the state of the gun and should not have called ‘cold gun’, but as you say, no matter who says the gun is empty ALWAYS check for yourself. If unfamiliar with a gun then check several times and get an expert to explain the weapon to you (many have different ways to store and feed ammo that make it tricky to see if they are loaded or not eg 18xx Henry style rifles).
Mary had yet another skirt, The split was at the back I'm not sure if she ever wore that one either ...
Word I'm getting right now is that Baldwin is the producer and that he cut HR corners for the sake of budget. The prop guy in question is one result of this. He's got a known questionable work history. I believe he's been fired from at least one other set for a similar mishap resulting in injury. The real irony here, and the big reason no one's going easy on Baldwin, is that he's one of the more vocal anti-gun Hollywood hypocrites who's made a substantial portion of his fortune playing characters who wield guns. He also tweeted anti-cop rhetoric concerning the shooting of an armed assailant a couple years ago. Armed, as in- with a gun. Criminally charged or not, Baldwin's getting sued into the dirt. That's why he's keeping air tight. (edit) Oh yeah— The gal who got zapped by Baldwin, was also the wife of an attorney at the firm Latham & Watkins that's been indicted for helping the Clintons with that whole fake dossier thing. Just putting' that out there.
