I've had exposure to some Brit HSE personnel, policy, and protocols over the years. Fortunately I didn't really have to deal with it, I just got to witness my Brit co-workers enduring it all. That is some serious bullshit. To add insult to injury the "enforcers" were typically clueless little wimps who looked like they'd never so much as wrenched on a car or thrown a hammer in their lives. They probably couldn't even change a tire. I hear Australian HSE is even worse.
