One of my 90's Hondas needs a complete respray in original colours. It has a full fairing. Has anyone any knowledge of Racepaint UK? They've been around since 1998 and seem to have a good rep. They've quoted £1000 for the job, which was pretty much what I was expecting. Dream Machine want £1440.
If anyone has useful info about either company or can recommend a competent company who could do the job I like to hear about it. Cheers.

Ask them for references or examples of their work that you can verify. Also, give them a call and see how engaged and knowledgeable they seem to be. Go with you instincts after that.

Try Palerider based in Longton. He has done the paint on my CBX and is very good. Find him on Facebook.

The bike at the front is a 1990 Honda CBR400 NC29. Behind it is my 1994 RVF400 NC35.
The NC29 is the one requiring the respray. Long story, but the previous owner crashed the bike, repaired damaged bodywork and had it resprayed..the wrong shade of red! I know this because after much searching I was able to find two NOS left hand side panels to replace the two repaired panels. They are a different shade of red (difficult to see in the pic, but more obvious in sunlight). Also the decals, which are the metallic blue bands and white tail boards, are the wrong shape on the right side and around the tank.
I know lots of people could live with this and some people don't spot it, but it just niggles me. Hence the possible respray.
The NC35 has a V4 engine, gear-driven cams (as has the NC29), so no cam chain, and more precise engine tolerances. It's currently wearing TYGA bodywork (from Thailand, like most of our Triumphs). The OEM bodywork has been resprayed and is stored away.
Both fit their 90's description of being 'pocket rockets', once the revs hit around 6-7000rpm they take off and scream to their 14000rpm limit, passing 135mph. Not bad for 400cc and around 57-60 bhp. A big contrast to my Street Twin, which is what I wanted.
I realise some people on this forum instinctively turn away from this style but I love the 80's and 90's sportsbikes and can't get enough.

Can't resist posting a better pic of the NC35 because it's so beautiful :kissing_heart:
