I was thinking a bit further back. Jethro Tull invented the seed drill, was a big wheel in the Agricultural Revolution. He also wrote Horse-Hoeing Husbandry. I need to get out more....things you remember from school
Oooooh.... TULL! I went to see them with a mate who thought they were great at the Colston Hall, Bristol (a fave venue for me) some time in the early '90s, I think. Came out of there to find my beloved white S2 Cavalier SRi had been half-inched. And they call us Scousers thieving gits .... I'd have willingly throttled the scumbag that lifted my car that night - took a long time to get the wife to come and pick us up and get us home. And a longer time to get the car back to the imacculate condition it had been in. And the gig itself was pretty mediocre so, all in all, not a great night. Little Angels, on the other hand were a brilliant band - saw them a couple of times and they were, indeed, young gods! p.s. that's my idea of a drum kit!
Still got Live Rust, but on vinyl. Both of those tracks of course, and the other one of the long trilogy as l called it was Cortez the Killer. Brilliant album, l really should get a wifi turntable for records such as those.
Little Angels were excellent, it's true. Saw the somewhere south (Poole, Bournemouth...it's all a blur now) back in the early 90's. They were so damn loud! Toby Jepson has a regular slot on Planet Rock these days and is still making music.
Time for a set of beautiful songs… don’t like??? Like I care… If you do like, glad to had added to your day!
And I’ll happily take the shit on this one… Chris Martin having a mare, but still pulling it out of the bag!
Anyone remember the album Sunburst finish, by BE-BOP Deluxe ? This is the songwriter/ guitarist. Bill Nelson.
no doubting his talent, and he’s playing a lovely PRS. But the lack of a band left the track a little sterile.
@MICK64 I don’t really know much Be Bop Deluxe, the only one I really knew was this, which I kinda like…
