I’ve been a forum member for a good while now, and have started to get an uneasy feeling. Don’t quite know what it is, but it is there. The list of well known members that are gone due to undescribed drama seems to grow. It feels quieter on here than I remember. Even the good hearted banter is toned down, almost as if everyone is afraid of offending. I surely hope we are not becoming a part of the PC crowd. That would truly be a shame. Even some threads continue to disappear, such as the bikes and babes thread. Not for everyone, but none of us are. If these are truly signs of a “kinder, gentler” PC forum I may be on the way out. This is sad because I feel I know several of you pretty well. It just has that feel of being empty, like the last time you walk through a house you are moving out of. Or maybe I’m just in a depressed and shit mood this morning.
I think that thread disappeared because the original poster left and had all his threads deleted so unfortunately a lot of good (and useful) threads were lost to the Forum you could always start a new one
That's right but I thought someone started a new one. Then for some reason the main posters to that thread seemed to stop. Pity, I used to enjoy that.
I've only been a member since June last year but have also noticed several old hands have left since. Ooer!! People come on here primarily to share their love of the marque with other interests/discussions being a bonus but the number 1 consideration must be that everyone is treated with the utmost respect and not berated or offended in any way, so, OsteKuste, FFS get a grip, man up and stop moaning you whingey old fekker and just enjoy (what's left of) the forum!
when so many have been in lockdown and no real daily riding or stories to share I suppose forums will start to suffer. Lets hope that as life goes back to normal then normal service will return.
Fucking Christ on a bike, how much longer are we going to have people whining because a control freak and his acolytes picked up their ball and marched off in a huff, displaying the very qualities they so vociferously eschewed. Straighten out your twisted panties, complainers. Feel free to close the door on your way out, or contribute and make this place how you want it. Forums change and evolve, it's the natural order. Peace and love.....

Wasn’t opening that particular can o worms again, just expressing an overall feeling about the forum. Since you keep bringing it up, could it be that you secretly pine for a lost love?
Just seen your thread, I sincerely hope you are just having a bad day @OsteKuste . For me the forum remains vibrant with new members joining all the time. Old threads will be dropped unless members keep posting on them. So if you feel things are being dropped or missed you or anybody who wants to keep them alive, they can. I don’t miss the confrontation and abuse that was creeping onto the forum a while ago. There are alternative forums if you do feel that this one does not meet your needs. I hope you stay and continue to contribute
@OsteKuste - I took time out because needed some clear air… I came back and the likes of @Dawsy , @Cyborgbot , @Golgotha and @MICK64 amongst others seem to be keeping the piss taking going… so I don’t think we’re doing too badly… I do worry about the influence that the “overly-woke” have on the world, and therefore places I inhabit, like the forum… just gotta kick back at the feckers when they impinge on your own “rights” … but the forum has stated rules which we kinda have to be aware of too.
He’s joined the other crowd but I sincerely hope @OsteKuste gets there that which he feels lacking here, AND that he will will still pop back here as he seems to be a great guy and contributes a lot. Several members are able to join and constructively contribute to both forums and not get dragged into petty name calling. Horrible to see such division.
I know the other crowd check in here at times to gauge the water. I've not seen evidence that @OsteKuste has shifted allegiance though.
