Are there any suppliers of vintage Triumph parts in the EU? As I'm not in the UK, Brexit has almost doubled the cost of importing anything from the UK!
Keep the drivers mate, The fuckers were useless at anything other than smuggling anyway .Have a bit of faith in the British. you may have none, But the rest of us do
I am constantly amazed at the soft arses on here. I just scrolled back,to check what i said, and see no need to calm down, or explain myself. Put me straight please.Or fuck off
As the UK is no longer part of the EU, additional costs are incurred should a person from a member state of the EU purchase goods from the UK. These additional costs are in the form of VAT, Import duty and in the case of motor vehicles VRT. Hence the cost of purchasing goods from the UK is substantially higher than it was prior to the UK leaving the EU and hence the question raised in my post. I hope this information "puts you straight" I will now close off any further communication with you on this post and wish you the very best for the future.
Hey Cruchy62 stick to buying from the British bike industry mate or those essential parts suppliers might end up disappearing. I'm in Ireland too and get all my parts sent to a mate in County Tyrone up North. Or look for one of those parcel motel type services in Northern Ireland. You can get the parcels delivered to a service like that somewhere like Newry and collect them on a Saturday afternoon. Be a good excuse for a wee spin. As regards EU based suppliers, all I can say is "WHAT HAVE THE ROMANS EVER DONE FOR US?" (probably have to be over 50 to get that one)
I have been wondering how all this Brexit stuff will affect my purchasing parts from the UK to the US. It has always been expensive to buy goods direct to the US. Not about to comment on the politics of the situation, but it looks like the situation will probably get worst. ....D.
Some UK sellers just don't send anymore to France (probably EU). I used to buy regularly from UK sellers. I don't do anymore. Just to make it clear I don't care about brexiters, remainers, etc even if I have my opinion, opinion that means nothing because I'm not UK citizen. No need to be aggressive. I just say brexit changed my buying habits. As someone suggested, if you can have goods shipped to someone you know in Ulster, it's the best solution.
Hi Wire-Wheels, I don't think Brexit changed any rules for trade between UK and US, just UK and EU, but Biden is threatening some changes to trade rules unless UK do what he wants in Northern Ireland talks. He should really stick to fixing his own country and leave the local politics to the people involved. If its any consolation we have even worse problems trying to get parts shipped from the US to here.
...Hi, it could be a good business to open a storage shop in Dover to collect stuff bought by EU customers in UK, charge the storage untill customers come to pick up their goods....
Sorry about that/this. It's not you, he just seems to be angry all of the time. Please stick with the forum and you can actually block members you don't like quite easily.....
Buying something in the Uk for delivery in the UK is tough enough with some couriers unable to deliver (accusations have been made about them not trying) perfectly addressed parcels and then auctioning them off and pocketing the change. Not quite the same as import / export but felt we needed a minor derailment. Edit: I’ve had parcels returned to the depot because they could not be delivered (no-one in) despite me feverishly waiting but the door and monitoring the CCTV system. The cheeky things didn’t event Drive passed the house - never mind try delivering it. Hopefully technology will catch up and monitor if they do try to make the delivery…
Strange & difficult to believe...here we have a reliable delivery service at home or in some nearby shops by Abeille Rush / Amazon / La Poste / UPS etc. If you're not at home, then they deliver to a neighbour & let you a message in your mail box or send you an email, sometimes they come back later in the day or the day after....
Hi Crunchy, try Yesteryears Motorcycles in Belgium, they have lots of British parts, mainly quality second hand, he has links to many British bike parts dealers. Hope this helps
Soft Arses? He’s asking for some input and you’re acting like a mouthy old cunt. Take your own advice, do us a huge favour and fuck off yourself. Dickhead!
You need to read from the beginning, before gobbing off. And you can fuck yourself, without any further comment from me. You are blocked "Dickhead".
