The girlie had today off as part of her 9 day fortnight arrangement and I have an understanding boss (me) so we spent the day at Mudeford Quay and Hengistbury Head.

It was a yacht Steve, none of that crude, noisy and vulgar motorised stuff.

Just a gentle was and brush up on the beasty today following major additions to my bug collection at the weekend. Bottle of Muck-Off and plenty of water, comes up nice and clean. Then just to top off a good days work, my dearest missus comes home with a few rolls of wallpaper etc so it looks like I'll leaving the FS365 for a little while.

Not sure about Big J owning a Triumph, but certainly did, can't recall which bit of 'the good book' it's in but it goes something like "and low the roar of Moses's Triumph was heard across the desert"

He had a thing for Triumphs, he also had a car 'and Moses came down the mountain in his Triumph'
4 wheel drive to get up it in the first place?
Went up there for some tablets, who's idea was it to put a chemists on a mountain anyway?

    1. Having completely defeated His enemies –- sin, death, Hell and the Devil –- He rose from the grave, and now shares His triumph with all His captives, His redeemed ones!

Whenever people talk about yachts, it always reminds me of a story I was told by this guy I met on holiday in Tunisia.
He was a top-end surveyor & did some good work for Sir Feddy Mcalpine....As a way of thanking him for his services he was invited to go on board his yacht during the Isle of wight boat race....Now he`d never done anything like this in his life & to his surprise he was given the job of steering the yacht...All was going well & they held position. After a while he was relieved of his duty at the helm as he was beginning to tire. He said that he went & sat down at the back of the yacht & started to relax & enjoy the trip....he said that suddenly it was as if someone had thrown a bowl of cold water in his face....In fact, he`d fallen off the back of the boat & into the Solent!!!! Now he was wearing a life jacket & thought that the boat would turn round then slow to a stop & pick him up...What actually happened was that the boat headed straight for him & last minute turned a few degrees & he was scooped up as the boat ran along side....Now the captain was furious & as such he was tied, yes tied to the center mast to prevent anymore such problems.
Now he said he was standing for quite sometime & became tired again, he slipped down the mast & was just getting comfortable when from below deck came these words...." who the Fuc*** hell has put toilet paper down the toilet & blocked the ruddy toilet"???
yep, 2 guesses, but you`ll only need 1!
Back in the safety of Portsmouth Harbour it was time to get off the Yacht. Everyone was shaking each others hands & saying what a good race it was even though they didn`t win. When it came to his turn to shake the captains hand....The captain looked him straight in the eye but refused to shake his hand. Oh what fun they had.......NOT

Race skippers can be real pussycats until 2 mins before the gun, the woe betide anyone who doesn't pull their weight or screws up! I used to crew on a few and boy, if there wasn't a chance of getting thrown over board you would have died laughing at the language and antics!

I used to do a bit of racing in the Solent and Southampton Water - they are great but VERY intense. Lots of little rich boys who didn't join the army to fight, but want to 'battle it out' on the water.
