i’m always tempted to do things similar to this, @littleade. But the problem here in the United States is that a large number of drivers are likely to be caring a gun in their vehicles. And too many of those who are carrying a gun may actually use it. It’s a bit Russian Roulette-ish.
And don't even think about getting to see your doctor anymore. Chuffing "eConsult" now. Doctors decided it's quite nice just sitting at a pc, not having nasty patients cluttering up their office.

These are about as comfortable as my 1995 Daytona 1200! I tell a lie, the seat is better on the Daytona but I had to lift the bars to have any chance of comfort. I will say they look well though.
I always find that beer makes me feel better, but it doesn't help computers. I once killed a laptop by knocking a full bottle into the keyboard...

People who shit their pants when they come up behind a pushbike. OK if the road is narrow it's an issue but on a normal road if you move to the white line in the middle of the road that would normally give twice the room of a cycle lane, but no they crawl along behind said pushbike until the road is clear before veering right across the road to go past. Funny as the pushbike only seems to need about 12 to 18 inches when they undertake you waiting at traffic lights or a junction. Thank you I feel better now.

If in town remember a cyclist may be filtering either side of you so check before moving." Common sense dictates that you should allow as much space as possible when overtaking a cyclist whether or not the road is 'narrow' - define narrow in this sense and context. Cyclists may be - often ARE - a right, royal PITA but they have a right to be there on our roads, and I get as exercised about some of their awful habits as much as anyone but that cyclist in front of you is someone's husband/wife/father/mother/son .... whatever. If I have to "shit myself" to stay behind them for a few minutes to find a place to overtake 'wide and slow' then I will. I figure it increases the chances of us both getting home safely to our families. p.s. I'm not a cyclist, and I don't condone their bad behaviours, lack of manners or ignorance of protocols but I have much the same feelings towards similar behaviour by motorists, too.
I agree @Adie P but I have been stuck (along with a long line of other motor vehicles) behind some dithering muppet that despite having many safe opportunities to overtake failed to do so for miles. In the end the cyclist pulled over. Good on them as they didn’t need to but I’m guessing they were feeling pressure from the queue unnecessarily forming behind them. We all could have happily coexisted safely but for that one very hesitant (and dangerous for it) car driver.
"Stupid is as stupid does" I think is the phrase or something like that. Any cyclist needs to be held responsible for their own actions. Other road users cannot be blamed for the mistakes of others. That's one of the problems with this country, it's always somebody else's fault.
And the same consideration for horses and tractors in this neck of the woods, a nervous horse can do a lot of damage. Locals are usually aware, tourists not so much. Be warned, there have been a number of serious accidents on the dual section of the A30, tractors use it and a 40mph speed differential has caught a number of dozey drivers out (and there's no crumple zones on farm machinery).

The Isle of Wight is famous for it's garlic production, but I have to buy garlic imported from China? We import frozen prawns from Vietnam....but export langoustine from the UK to Spain? Cheap white bread from the supermarket tastes of pap...but a tasty white loaf costs £3.50. It's all just gone so wrong...
£150 for DMs?!? Mine are decades old and occasionally get cleaned with WD40 as I can’t be arsed to do it properly (as I never wear them - much). Maybe an antique pair would be worth selling?
