Wombling free… Underground, overground, Wombling free The Wombles of Wimbledon Common are we Making good use of the things that we find Things that the everyday folks leave behind… I wonder what they do with used face masks, hypodermic needles, condoms and human faeces that liberally litters the common…
Ah, from the Wimbledon sets’ picnics. Refilling their soda-siphons… Well it’s either them or there are a hell of lot of punctures…
Thought I'd get out again today. But it was raining, bugger. So I walked to Fowlers in Bristol. Another pavement slurry job done by the council right outside a primary school. Obviously the kids are gonna walk in it if they get the chance. Even little ones have a sense of humour: On the way I popped into the shiny shop (Rider's Hardley Movingson) and this was the best bike in there: Lovely views of Bristol on the way: And was not that taken with anything in Fowlers. I try to like the new Thailand bits of tin, honestly I do, but they are just way wide of what they could be. This was the only piece of metal that was close to something I'd buy. Even the seat was nice: A BMW! blimey, no idea what model and no chance that I could ride it for more than half an hour but they are pretty. The build details and quality is miles better that the Thailand tins. How bloody annoying.

À chacun son goût, as our Gallic neighbours would have it
I had, I did, it was. Still loved it though - great build quality, lots of character and a superb engine.
I'm livid, "Rant of the Day"? must be a week since I've seen a proper rant on here. .....And as for threads that go off topic, makes my blood boil.
What is it with these dumb car drivers who pull out in front of you on a 60mph road, then drive at 25 mph when you can't get past because of oncoming traffic. Only happened twice today.
Up here they are either tourists or very old people who really should not be driving, some of them travel at 35mph all the time
35 would have been a bit fast for these two, one just drove straight out of the Yorkshire Sculpture Park, and one out of a farm shop gateway. Good job I was expecting it.
Or a que of traffic sitting behind a tractor on a clear road because the person up front won't overtake
Why does nothing effing work properly nowadays? I'm currently setting up a new venture which involves signing up with various advertisers and services. Everything has to be done online, with any contact with a human being made as difficult as possible. The trouble is that almost none of the clever automated systems actually work properly! It isn't me: I'm not entirely stupid and I'm quite OK with computers, but almost every site I've dealt with has failed: logins, passwords, payments systems, you name it. What should have taken a couple of days has taken nearly a week, and some of them are still unresolved. Grrrrr! Rant over, I'm opening a beer...
