A quick taste before I hit the sack. Have a bit of a collection and so some mods on occasion. First bike Which is my avatar, for now, is a 2021 Trident 660.. First thing I do is suspension, but the front end, though non adjustable was dead on for me. 33 mm sag with 196 lb rider weight, and dampening was spot on, so no changes. The rear shock, though , was as bad as the forks were good. Dampening ( non adjustable ) was so stiff, the rear tire would chatter on a bumpy tar snake corner. At first I thought it was the tire or pressure, but it was the shock. Have a cheap fix, though. Eye to eye is 12 inches, the same as a Sachs shock I had on the shelf, from an Aprilia RSV 4. With some mods to the shock to make it fit, it was a great solution. Back fender needed to be trimmed to fit and the shock itself needed to be modded for clearance. They can be had from Ebay for $ 90 to $ 110 USD.
Blue spring was just for the initial fitment. . Red 750 Lb spring from Penske was the final choice. Had to go with a shorter spring to get the adjustment collars to the top of their adjustment for clearance inside the lower mounting cradle. Had to carve just a bit off the lower shock casting, as well.

I got the lithium battery for mine @Sandi T and it's incredibly light. It seems like its a fake when you take it out of the box as it's sooooo light. Definitely feel the difference too. I did get a lithium charger too (as recommended) but some say you can use a normal charger. I decided to not risk that. Recommend.
Yeah, I get the numbers mixed up. Have an Aprilia RS 660 , as well. It hit 140 Mph after pipe and ECU flash.

But then there's this : Been trying to break 180 Mph on a nekkid bike. ( 2020 Kaw ZH2 ) Missed it by that much.
C Dolan Cool steed boy it makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. And i just watching you on the video. Joe.
Some minor mods to my 2022 Steve McQueen Scrambler. Had lowered it about 1 inch with softer rear springs and sliding the fork tubes up 1 inch. This made the bike a bit unstable with the original side stand, so got a shorter one from an XE model. The spring was the biggest challenge, McGyvered it. Spring was too hard to pull by hand, so more leverage used.
The rear shocks were lowered by using softer springs. They were the shorter ones as each shock has 2 springs. They were a sloppy fit , having 3 mm clearance on the ID at 1 end. Made some insert / collars since I hate sloppy fits.
Next project will be a 2017 bobber. Seat was hard as a brick and the rear shock too harsh. Ordered a more padded seat and an Ohlins rear shock. Front suspensions seem ok. Update : rear shock replaced.
Just got this 850 Tiger Scrambler a couple of weeks ago. No mods planned at this time, but it did come with a slip on can. 7-2-2022: Traded in for a 2022 Tiger 900 Rally. 900 Rally has 21 inch front wheel and linked rear shock instead of direct shock like 850. Makes it easier to lower as shown in later posting. Just a few miles on the tire, but got " all of it " and a bit of the peg feeler.
