Hi, I've been lurking for a little while.
Originally trying to find out a bit more about the T120 but after doing demo rides on the T120, Speed Triple and Tiger Sport, I ended up upgrading my 2015 Tiger Sport to a 2016 TS.

The Speed Triple was good but too much front end bias and weight on the arms.
The T120 was disappointing, the new clutch was erratic and the FBW throttle was very jerky on shifts.
I wasn't originally going to demo the Tiger Sport as I already had one, but thought I'd give it a go.
The new engine, gearbox and fuelling are spot on and made it a different beast to my 2015 one.
Picked the new one up yesterday...

Previously had a Street Triple and the other half rides a purple 2013 Bonneville SE.
Also got a 20 year old Bandit 1200 as well.

Hi TC and welcome to the Triumph Asylum - Asylum you might ask? You'll soon see.

As for languages we spoke most of 'em on here - English, Yorkshirish, bad, really bad and just plain awful.

Hi TC and welcome to the forum.
Saw the matt black Tiger Sport in the local showroom - cool looking bike.
The ride by wire throttle takes a little while to get used to but once there you won't believe how stiff a cable throttle feels.
I find my Tiger (and the Thruxton R I tested) to be jerky in the sport mode and rarely use it.

    Thanks all.

RR, I suspect you'll like the TS, the upgrades have pretty much addressed all the things I didn't like about the old one.

Steve, haven't tried Sport Mode yet, thought I'd just get used to it first and then play with it. I did try Sport mode on the demo, it definitely makes a noticeable difference to the pick up on the throttle. It's the only time I've had the back end slide out on me on a bike other than at a track or in the wet...... fun though :D

Yeah I will try it again - it definitely improves throttle response but on uneven surfaces (most of our roads) I found it felt like you were constantly backing off and on the throttle - a bit snatchy.
MCN testers didn't like it on the Thruxton R, and said the same thing. Worth experimenting with though!

After riding mine yesterday, I softened the suspension up last night.
Where it's a bit too stiff as standard, it's causing the light FBW throttle to twitch over bumps even on road mode.
I guess race mode probably exaggerates this.
    I'll try it again today.

I started lurking on a couple of forums when I was thinking about a T120 and needed info about them.

Having decided against a T120 after the test ride and then purchasing the Tiger Sport, it was then a case of either staying on the forum and participating or waving goodbye
I did join TriumphRat.net as well but the forum was extremely slow and irritating to use, also it's very American based so very little about the TS as they don't get them.
This forum is a lot easier to use and seems pretty friendly so I thought I'd come out rather than leave :D

I'm also a member of Tiger1050.com which is another good forum that I joined when I got my first TS.
