Myself, @Wessa Steve and @Smilinjack Alan just got back from a six night tour of Scotland yesterday.
We met up at Ye Olde Naked Man Cafe in Settle, Yorkshire for bacon butties all round at 11:00am and set off for our first nights stop at the Limetree Restaurant & Hotel in Moffat. Avoiding motorways, the weather was pretty good, just a smattering of rain in the afternoon. We had so much time that we took in a detour via Russia.
    Scotland_June_2021 005.jpg

On arrival at the hotel, we got a huge attic triple room and the breakfast the next morning was top notch. We even had a garage to park our bikes in overnight. Very good value at £105 all in.
Any pictures Steve and Alan ?

Brilliant trip, as usual I'm the one who doesn't take enough pics, but I can weigh in with some from later part of the week. And that first night was ridiculous value for money, no question. I managed a pic of Steve giving his bike a bit of love at our first café stop. I think we were still in England. Good cup of tea anyway :)

Day 2 following a good "Scottish" breakfast we set off for Corran, again avoiding motorways. At first we had glorious sunny weather but as the day progressed it got a bit cloudy and by the time we got to Corran it was a bit wet. We stopped off at Tyndrum for a bite to eat. We had planned to do the Kinlochleven loop but as it was getting quite wet by now we gave it a miss and soon arrived at the Corran Bunkhouse for the night.

This is a top bunkhouse and is better than a lot of hotels. It is very well equipped and has kitchens, a drying room and a comfortable lounge where we enjoyed several glasses of Jack Daniels and snacks.

The chairs were a welcome break from the saddle with a cuppa.

The Corran Bunkhouse was awesome, really well equipped and very comfortable. We left the bunkhouse and immediately got onto the ferry across the loch.

    Scotland_June_2021 045.jpg Scotland_June_2021 047.jpg Saucy Mary's Bunkhouse is the pits.
However, we did have the pleasure of meeting up with an old friend James @Sprinter . He joined us in the pub just down the road from the bunkhouse.

So on day 4 we set off for Beuly via Applecross. We took a slight detour to take in Plockton which is a very pretty little coastal village. Unfortunately James's bike developed an electrical gremlin and he decided to go home and try to get it sorted.

Day 5. After a lovely breakfast I took a stroll outside and went towards the war memorial which remembered soldiers who had died in various battles, I think in South Africa.
    Scotland_June_2021 025 (2).jpg

I was a bit miffed to discover that some scrote had ripped up all the flowers and bulbs in an adjacent flowerbed and strewn them all over the monument, pavement and the rear of someones car. They had also left a pair of blue trousers, hopefully they had soiled themselves.

    Scotland_June_2021 027.jpg Scotland_June_2021 028 (2).jpg

This guy was not the culprit I am sure.
    Scotland_June_2021 026 (2).jpg

Maybe he saw who did it but he wasn't talking.

Day 5 progressed towards Braemar but on the way we met up with another old friend at the Bridge Cafe in Spean Bridge.

    Scotland_June_2021 031.jpg Scotland_June_2021 033 (2).jpg

@Dougie D who had organised previous forum tours around Scotland in 2018 and 2019. Dougie kindly led us over some great roads to our hotel for the night in Braemar, the Braemar Lodge.

That tank bag sits surprisingly well on the back of the rocket!
