Got a 955i '03 model Speed Triple and wanting to fit a HID kit. Had them on my last two bikes, a ZX7R and a 9R and found the incidents of having cars pull out on me were vastly reduced. I don't ride at night so no issue there and MOT's have never been a problem. I'm also aware that given the lack of fairing I can extend the wires so the ballasts, etc can fit under the seat.

Given I'm wanting the bi-xenon (hi/lo) even though the're always on dipped (daytime riding) I'm wondering if the rear of the bulb is too bulky to fit into the chrome domes of the S3 headlights (see picture below). Any experiences or opinions of this?

I have a 2010 that I looked into a while back. I contacted the guy at www.sickhids.com and he told me he had done a few but it required the use of a new "bubble" style lens to replace the factory glass do to the depth of mounting requirement. they look ok and he does a good job but charges through the teeth for his work. I had found a set of carbon fiber bucket style headlights on amazon that had deeper buckets so to speak, but they were a larger diameter than the factory triumph. I decided to put it on the backburner for a while and never came back to it.

Thanks for the reply, that was certainly a concern as to whether they would fit. I was more concerned with the large base of the bi-xenon not fitting behind the reflector than the actual bulb as I would have thought with the bulb reflector removed it would have fit. I looked at the LED options too but felt that the fan at the rear would not get any airflow with sitting in the chrome cover. Thanks.

I owned a 1972 H1D until late last year. I liked owning it......but riding it was a different story. Unpredictable and although very quick, it did not feel safe!
