Went for an evening ride on the interceptor around the Cheshire lanes last night. The sun was shining and there was a slight cool breeze. It was perfect riding conditions. Lovely :):)

This is what I did with my none Triumph.
I bought a bike last year...it was to help a friend of a friend’s friend out as he was v poorly.
£800+ £68 for new seats, £100 to insure to ride from purchase place to mechanics shop.
Bike (1996 R1100RS) not been used for 10 years.
Mechanic had it a few months. He charged me £265 to get it roadworthy again, leaking brake cylinder, new tyre, service and MOT.
When he called to say it was ready for collection my heart sank! Would I really have to ride that beast 7 miles home again?
Rang a former motorcycle shop owner from our town, who I know now delivers motorcycles for different shops. He agreed to collect it and deliver it to our house. (£40)
When he arrived with it a few days later, before he off loaded it I asked him if he’d like to own it.
He offered me £1050 and we shook hands.
That’s the best thing I’ve ever done with a none Triumph.
My other none Triumph, R9T feels like a lightweight by comparison.
    Cheers,Ken.
    Bike as I got it.

Finally got the bike on the track today.
    It doesn't hang around!
Top speed on the straight was about 165-170ish before hitting the brakes.
Luckily it also stops pretty quick as well.
After all the work I did to it over the winter, I was fairly pleased that there was only one issue which was with the blipper shifting down.
Other than that it was all good, well apart from my fitness....
Out again in 3 weeks time.

upload_2021-6-6_21-11-32.jpeg Went out on my mates Fz750 while he took the Z1000 around North York’s. Got to keep these old girls running! Was surprised how light and nimble the FZ was. Very nice

took the 66 BSA thunderbolt out for a clearing. the forks are leaked out and banging-- its got the early ones with no rebound damping. so i've got to pop the tops off, fix the lower leaks, and fill em back up

the stinking expensive smartfire ignition from pazon which cost a quarter the price of the whole bike s annoyingly competent. i wanted to save that ignition for a bike that really could benefit from it, but at the moment i'm mopre interested in riding the thing than satisfying my aesthetic sense of righteousness.

Took my Triumph for the 20m/32km 3year service and got given a loaner,
    Royal Enfield Meteor 350.
Good sized frame and tank, but LAMs rated so very under powered. Good brakes and seat

Got my 900SS CR out of storage...swapped the Daytona 1200...I'm reminded how nimble and raw the Ducati 900SS is...Sweet.

Still adore my "new to me", heavy, stable, Daytona 1200!

@andypandy , @Tigcraft and me had a run down into Shropshire today. We had tea and cake at Ma Bakers, then lunch in Bridgenorth. Ice cream in Iron Bridge and then a cold drink in Market Drayton. Here are a few pictures on the day.
