Brake pedal

    This nut / allen bolt thingy got the better of me today.

    It threads through the rear of the brake pedal holding it to the footrest bit.
    Tried everything but couldn't get it to budge....

    On a side note, does anyone know what metal the brake pedal is made from? I've got a cut / weld idea to make a custom pedal...

    Try soaking it with WD40, that should loosen it up. And me being ocd and picky it's a hex key not a Allen key, Allen is a brand name not the tool type

    Speaking of the right tools for the right job, I wouldn't use ordinary wd40, but rather a rust release penetrant spray. Funnily enough, wd40 (the brand) actually make such a product:

    I have it, and it has saved me on several occasions.

    Soaked it in penetratinf fluid and used every type of key going !!
    Still no joy...
    I think it'll be cut & welded in situ...

    your right! my mistake, there are plenty of other penetrating sprays out there! :D
