Yep, all collets safely in the head. I only had eight, so a loss would have required a search with a magnet in amongst the spider webs.

Took the wife's Stripple for a spin to prevent it from feeling neglected... :)

Some brilliant ride write-ups posted recently. Enjoyed them all and the pictures. I'm not good about stopping to take pictures so only a few to share from last weekend.

HH treated me to a get-away weekend at a motorcycle lodge in the foothills of the Appalachians. This place is only 75 miles from home but we took about 200 miles getting there last Friday and again on the way home last Sunday, with a great ride in the twisties on Saturday.

    20210502_104755.jpg

The lodge is positioned smack in the middle of great mountain roads for both street and off-road riding. The lodge itself has only three guest rooms and a modest restaurant but the beautiful grounds are open for camping and offer spartan cabins for those who prefer a solid roof.
    20210501_192851.jpg

The lodge serves as a gathering spot for riders of all kind and the parking lot turns into an ogler's dream as bikes of all makes and manner pass through. On Saturday morning the parking lot filled with dual sports as the North Georgia Adventure Riders group gathered before a group ride out. On Sunday morning the lot had several Harleys mostly with pillion riders as they dropped in for breakfast.

There are riders of all kinds who converge on these hills every weekend. I have no problem when some of them blow past me since I don't need to find my limit on every curve. Also the cops patrol pretty heavily and I've no desire to adorn my weekend with a ticket.

Weekends like this come few and far between for us. Had to farm out the three kids to two of my sisters for peace of mind. Not leaving the 12, 14 and 16-yos at home with each other for two nights and days...Goodness only knows what we'd come home to. It was much more relaxing having removed that concern. Thankful for them, especially given they don't have children but are great aunts.

Where are you parked? Looks like a roadless, parking spotless plaza that you cleared of anyone else for the Stripple showcase...love it!

A few more pics from last weekend. The parking lot is in the evening with only the bikes of those staying in the lodge while the camp ground was full of bikes parked next to tents and cabins.

Beautiful! HH says he knows Zeist because it was a hop, skip and a jump from Soesterberg where he lived for a few years.

    Hi there,
It folds (coils) down to half size and it fits into a tailpack I have (or rucksack etc)
it comes with a bag and strap for that purpose.
It's a really light and good lock tbh.

Not exactly an exotic or well known venue but a place I have some fond memories of fishing with my Dad back in the 70's. Must be nearly 50 years since I was last there and it suddenly came to mind riding home through Worksop after a run out this evening. No where near as big as I remember it as a kid and lots of new housing has appeared lake side.

    Sandhill Lake, Worksop.

Put some new shoes on the Tiger and took it on some trails to test them out.

Texas wildflowers were in abundance, and you can see tonight's thunderstorm building off in the distance.

I do like my speed - a lot. But this thing is so light and nimble, and soooo quick when pushed a bit!

I like you speed too, its a gorgeous example  if I were buying a new triumph today, hands down I'd be getting a street triple, all things considered.
