Just got myself a dryer for the bike, one of those high velocity blower types off Amazon.
Hurricane force air flow for blowing water away after washing, with change out of fifty quid, but only if you search for a PET DRYER!
Searching for motorcycle dryers turns up similar machines (the exact same if the truth be known) but for considerably more wedge.
The same applies on the evilbay - bike dryers can fetch up to £150, but pet dryers are around the £50 mark.
I can thoroughly recommend them, especially at knock down prices.

Great idea - I was just discussing the merits of blow drying with crispey earlier this week. (Nothing to do with bikes though - just before anybody else says it!)

  11. I've used a compressor for this for years, as you say, much more efficient than hand drying.

If you go for a compressor instead of a pet dryer it will have more pressure that (on a decent one) is adjustable plus it has loads of other uses too. A little more cost, but I think the benefits justify it.

I have an Aldi one with twin outlets, adjustable pressure and a really high flow rate for a 25l. I also have a blow gun, wax oil gun, tyre inflator and a small spray gun (£20 total) and obviously there’s loads of other stuff including media blasters and grinders etc.

The compressor itself was £90. I also have their retractable 10m hose reel (£30) as well as the standard 10m hose, meaning I can get it to pretty much anywhere in or out the house I need it without ever having to move the compressor.

You never know how much you need compressed air until you have it, I use it pretty much every week from cleaning out the Dyson to re-pressurising the water system. If you every end up with a properly flat tyre you can inflate it, at home and with enough pressure to get you to the local tyre fitter without having to touch a wheel brace. Proper handy.
