Just waiting for the base ball mount to be delivered as that will give me more adjustability and stability than the Navihalter design I think. Can't believe the size of the Garmin XT - its bigger than my iPhone!

Wee Run up to Glen Doll, haven't been there for years, At Kirriemuir you take the Glen Clova Rd and once you get to the Glen Clova Hotel there is a single track road that leads to Glen Doll

Wow, @Dougie D...more great rides and ride photos! I'm starting to think you just ride home to make a brief stop to switch bikes then are right back out on the road again. ;)But lucky us, we get to see the gorgeous photographic evidence of your frequent rideouts. :sun::cool::)

Don't get out as often as I'd like to @Sandi T we have still got strict restrictions about how far we can travel, I can't wait until we can travel freely and when Hotels & restaurants open so we can stop for a bite to eat,it's not quite the same taking a flask and sandwiches..although it is cheaper!

Yesterday I was mostly washing my helmet
I removed the padding and hand washed it in the sink with some gentle hand wash conditioner
To say the water turned black is an understatement, I also dropped in my neck scarfs.
Now, my helmet was bought in 2018, and not had its innards washed before, so I knew it was needed and was going to be grim. But after changing the water several times, the water was still going dark
I eventually got all the gunk off, the padding returned to its original colour and the pattern on my scarfs returned, and the water was staying mostly clear when I was rinsing it

Currently drip drying and then I have to sort out the puzzle of returning it to my helmet in the correct place and order

Definitely worth doing at least once a year

Went across to Leeds to pay a bill, nothing exciting in that.
Only had one idiot who decided to move, in queuing traffic, from the left hand lane where the A58 turns into the A643 at the Armley roundabout, into the right hand lane. Shame I was in the space he wanted to move into.
Totally oblivious, and apparently deaf, no blind spot check, busy talking to the passenger and waving hands about. It's a good job I saw the repeaters start for his offside indicator, and that my brakes worked.
I was lucky too that the chap behind me was paying attention too.
Other than than a nice ride on a sunny day.

Installed some British Customs handle bar clamps and spacers. Only a bit higher than stock, about 10mm. They do look good though.

Well , doing nothing with my Triumphs today !
One is in the shed awaiting repair ! And the other is in the towing Yard awaiting an accident damage assessor !

On 25 March I had a big OFF ! I collided with another bike ! I was riding with a friend, he was on his 883 sportster. He was in front , dual lane hwy, in the right lane , I was in left about 30/50 metres behind. We came in to the 110 kph zone from 80 kph. He accelerated past some trucks on uphill incline, I changed lanes accelerating to catch up. I was still watching the other traffic when I looked ahead again. He was right there in front of me. I saw he was reaching down under his tank !! He was running out of fuel so no brake light's nothing I had no time to react and we collided.
He is home badly bruised and his Harley is a write off ! I was air lifted to hospital ! Minor lung puncture , flailed chest , scapula and clavicle broken , and later scans found minor tears in internal organ's. Spleen had some bubbles , too small to operate !!
So I've been off the road almost two weeks now , no news on my 1998 Sprint Executive ! Although what I recall seeing of it after the accident it may be repairable ? I was basically incommunicado for first ten days !! Meds !! And no ability to call anyone ! Wife heard about the "Smash" some how before she was contacted by phone , so she was already much distressed before she was told I was alive but hurt.
The Hospital gave me 3/4 weeks worth of pain killer's and I have been out for 5 days now ! Pain killer's making me nauseous first two days I vomited four time's , pretty hard to do with 5 or 6 broken ribs and collar bone !!!
So I've stopped taking the nausea causing MED's and don't feel so bad , but still getting some nausea when the pain killing tablets are wearing off , one every 12 hours!
I hope to hear from my Insurance Swann soon.
Will update again on the weekend when fingers crossed I will have some more answers.

    Cheers capt
