Hello all, my name is Steve. I just got a 2018 Tiger 1200 XCA to keep my 2004 Road King company in the garage. Amazing difference between the two bikes. But I love riding both, so I see longer trips on the Tiger and day rides with the Road King.
Greetings, Steve, and welcome to the forum from a fellow Arizonan who is also a Triumph and Harley owner. I'm from Tucson. Where in AZ are you? That's a good looking Tiger. Hope you enjoy it and the forum, too.
az_Steve Welcome to the family. Lovely bike and great photo. Thanks for sharing. You will fit right in here in the asylum. The inmates do like black bikes. One of the favourite colours. Joe.
I am up in Peoria, AZ on the northwest side of Phoenix. Had a nice 96 degree ride today up to Wickenburg and around that area. I think with the high 90's prediction for this weekend, will be heading up north into the mountains.
@az_steve I know just where Peoria is, Steve! My hubby and I had the opportunity to ride the H-D "LiveWire" prototypes at Arrowhead H-D in Peoria about five years ago. We love the ride to/through Wickenburg. The Carefree Highway is always a delight. And I particularly love the stretch from Wickenburg to Wikieup, especially as you get closer to Wikieup. The last time we rode home from Las Vegas through Wickenburg we stopped and had sandwiches at The Local Press. Have you eaten there? Delicious! Yep, the temps are a bit toasty for this early in the year. I'm hoping that the winds you had on your ride today weren't as bad as the winds we had down here in Tucson. We're also contemplating a two night ride to the mountains in a few weeks. We'll either do a ride that includes Silver City NM the first night and Show Low the second or two nights in Prescott with some Mingus Mountain area ride on the in-between day. Where do you like to ride from Peoria??
Welcome from White Hills, AZ ! Rosie's says they will open on April 8th, although rumor says they are having some difficulty staffing the bar/restaurant. I don't get down your way often, two weeks ago I did a poker run in Vegas. Enjoy your triumph, I sure do mine.
