She's A Naked Trophy!

recently bought a Triumph TT600 as my first street legal bike, only dirtbikes and pitbikes before this. Was in a serious layover by previous owner. I've been tinkering with it for a while. The ruined plastics and huge front end of the street bike was an eyesore. I stripped everything down and began a wire tuck, still a work in progress. I removed everything in the front from the frame and forks. I ordered a new headlight assembly, bar end mirrors, and some mechanical components that need replaced. Still have plans for a better handlebar setup in future. Trying to fix up a way to get not so swept back bars without getting a new fork plate. The stock handlebars are attached with two screws. One clamping around the fork tube. OneJust drew up plans to custom fabricate a new tail and seat. I want this thing to be a light off road scrambler/ stunt bike. what are your thoughts? Suggestions?

 

I haven't looked too far into it. I know that in the future if I don't find a cheaper solution I will buy the yoke with dirt bike bar adapters already fastened to it. They sit about 3 inches higher along with the rise of the bars themselves. Was curious if anyone had any aftermarket clip on that have that aggressive street fighter look. I'm a tall rider as well 6'5", so I'm doing this mostly for comfort.

 

So I found this... should be small enough to fit and tall enough to clear my fork ends. Can I make my bike sit higher on the forks? I'd like to keep the triple tree plate fairly close to the fork ends if I go this route.

 

I am going to see if I can swap the clip ons from right to left. I know this works on some bikes. Worst that can happen is it doesn't fit up correctly

 

They absolutely do NOT swap. DO NOT ATTEMPT ON THE 99-03 TT's!!!!! They were atrocious to put back on and I found a stripped bolt so ill be replacing all hardware with beefy black grade 8 security heads. I have officially vowed to replace every fastener possible with a matching head. And I'm tired of constantly digging for the variety of bolt head styles used on this bike. I would like to fashion a tool kit to ride with. This will ease the task at hand.

 

All LED lights! Brake light unit, headlight unit, grate, mounting hardware and stick on signals came in. I painted the hardware and wired most of it in. (Waiting to mount headlight before final wiring) the headlight came with a blue halo. It looked awful so I removed the halo bulbs and shorted that circuit. The light wouldn't operate without the wires for each light touching. I have an amber running light that that no longer works. I don't see a feasible morning solution so I intend to stuff it in the headlight housing for now. Hopefully building a new tail soon!
