    1. Restore it as OEM condition
    2. Purchase aluminium tank and seat cowl making a classic café racer.

The oem is cheaper to build and I can bring my wife with me on a ride.

The cafe racer is stunning beautiful, more expensive to build, just for one person...

Hi, Jan. I've been following your build threads but just this evening ran across your intro thread and am glad I did. What great photos! I love that green gem. I'm thoroughly enjoying your threads. :)

BTW, that Viking logo is from my (American) football team, the Minnesota Vikings. ;) Or they may have gotten it from someone or somewhere else.

Good morning Sandi (maby not where you lives..)
You’re right about the logo, I’m no fan about American (or European) football at all, I just borrowed the logo as I believe it’s looking great, one other hand I’m totally useless drawing..
People over here have been calling me Vikingo loco since young (I suppose I was been a bit crazy), I live in a warm place with a very nice local beer called “Tropical”.

I’m building a bike as gift for my sister, At this bike I paint the chassis green metallic, I think it’s look lovely so I believe this old t140 will share same colour with her bike!
The pics is from my sisters bike! CCE4A1A4-A2D8-4BED-B17E-9D67A6426DBD.jpeg ECFDAAA4-17B0-4FB5-B8F0-23880B6C0CAE.jpeg 9A8D2487-9D1E-408F-BCEF-9AC826C76188.jpeg F25C09CC-FEDE-44AD-ACD4-5018F8630846.jpeg

If the Distinguished Gentleman Ride is celebrated the 23 of May I want to have this bike drivable for that event!

Therefor I begun unassembled it to day!
As I never worked at any similar bike everything is new and a bit “strange” to me.
The cable is a mess and some amateur electrician have been messing around a lot....

To pull out the engine do you lay down the bike or do you lift it out keeping the bike at the stand?

    What’s the best way?? 620DD095-FE2F-4D50-8283-C2B5F6528A35.jpeg

If a total strip i usually lay the bike on its side with the motor on blocks and lift the frame off, primary side down.

Sandi I just read what I answered and I just want to clarify that what I wrote as I don’t want nobody to miss understand what I meant.

I begun saying “Good morning” after that I wrote “maybe not over there”
What I want to say maybe it’s not during the morning for you due to time zones...

    Regards

D2F5D45D-836B-4C26-AC5C-91CC1FBFCBCA.jpeg I didn't have to much time to dedicate to my Bonni this afternoon, But I cleaned and degreased the chassis.
After that after closer inspection I tuck the decision not sand blast the chassis as it isn’t to bad and this way I have less problem with dirt going in the oil tank (chassis).

I'm considering make a new triple clamp for this bike as I just dosent like of the original unit, One local shop that I use to contract have al needed CNC machinery to make it so we are just making some CAD at this moment.

Swept backs with reverse cone megaphones are the all time classic.
