    Took my Z900rs out for a ride to the shops to get some panko bread crumbs to coat tonights fried hake with chips and peas. Then went to the chemist to get a new supply of blood pressure tablets to keep my bp in check because of all the fried food I eat with salted chips.:eek:. Then I got lost on the way home and ended up on the moors at a small dam where I used to fish about 35 years ago.

    It's quite high up and it was very windy so I didn't hang about.

    Dropped my GS off yesterday for a service and an update for the TFT (they needed to do this overnight) I also was getting a replacement for my nav 6 as it has never worked properly. I collected the bike today and I asked the mechanic if he could pair my lid a Shoei Neotec to the sat nav and the TFT as I knew it wasn't as easy as it should be. He looked at me as if I'd asked him to perform brain surgery,so i said it's ok ill wait untill i have a spare several hours and cross my fingers! For some reason pairing the Shoei neotec to the GS is a right pain in the ar**

    It looks as though I'm not the only one struggling with this, I'm not bothered listening to music or taking calls, but I only want to hear the sat nav instructions, I'll maybe try just pairing my lid to the sat nav only and see if that works,I don't really understand why you would need to have it paired to the TFT also :confused:

    Love the bike, it reminds me of my 1978 Z650 bought brand new back in the day.

    As you say just bypass the tft and connect to the nav using your comms dedicated nav option if it has one or connect as the main phone.

    There are so many forum posts and YT vids on how to pair phones to the TFT and nav and the only thing I can’t do is listen to the media player on the nav6 ( but it bizarrely started playing last time out, only to stop on its own as I checked to see if the phone was paired?) but I can hear nav Instructions which is the reason I bought it. Maybe the annual service and software update will cure it?

    I’m still oldskool, as per my forum name. Write the route out and stick it to your tank with some tape, en route have a quick look down and follow the road signs. ...you just have to hope you’ve used waterproof ink if it’s raining...This method gets me back from Tesco’s every time...;);)

    I’d love my eyesight to be that good to read the nav screen, let alone summat taped to the tank, the zoom feature helps. Those days are long gone :(

    I have also given up trying to go through the pairing procedure on my GS. I had it right once but then it forgot the settings ffs. The NAV 6 has a lot of reported problems to. Give the attached to your BMW guy and see if he can get the connection to work. I doubt it. E2D2E9DA-B5B5-48D1-AA63-A8552CAB89CA.png

    Decided I "needed" a picture with Calstock bridge in the background so headed off to explore the area. Ended up in a cow farm yard that was concrete but covered in slimy cow shit. Dead end so had to do a 360 through all the shit. Back end was slipping and managed to get round but did put my feet down. Bike was stinking and boots were even worse:joy: Anyway, got the picture I wanted

    Gave the Berg it's first proper outing for some time. Thought I'd do a few lanes after tea to ease out of lockdown. 17deg, floor to ceiling sunshine and not a nimby in sight. :) Beautiful.

    Ughill Moor.

    Rocket has literally no rear brake now so waiting for recall to be done. Took the GS down to view the Covid cruise ships at Teignmouth

    Stanley Cotton Mills part of it is now a museum and the rest were converted into luxury flats. It's in the small village of Stanley in Perthshire about 10mins from Blairgowrie

    I took the scenic route to work on the CB1100. A leisurely 1140cc air-cooled lump, perfect for a country road.

    A 360?!? That’s just plain stupid... ;):blush::joy:

    You probably realised that after completing the manoeuvre, and then immediately tried a 180 - this time with more advantageous results.
