Unable To Wheelie

Quite frankly your attitude sucks fella and insulting people and being ageist won't win you any friends here.

 

To you maybe but I'm calling BS on that one. Have you done any short circuit racing? I'll take a guess and say you haven't, please correct me if I'm wrong. Any experienced racer will tell you wheelies slow you down and waste time, they're for show not go. If wheelies are your bag then that's fine, I've no problem with that and nor should anyone else but going back to your original post regarding the ST's inability to wheelie off the throttle. Mods will certainly deliver more power but if wheelies were as important a part of my riding experience as they are to yours then I wouldn't have started with a ST and that's an observation not a criticism.

Really strange post. Looks like you have the wrong bike, or want to do things you just can't despite you are young and braver than anybody else.
When I was younger and way stupider I could lift the front Wheel of a BMW K100 RT. Now I try not to fall with the 2 wheels glued on the road. About modifying a machine for more power, why not, but with the objective to wheelie ... Just get a cheap trial.

B. Was in hospital after crashing trying to wheelie.

The very notion of doing a wheelie goes against everything that being a competent rider (on the road) is all about. The rules we have here in the UK to prevent you from doing this are there not to protect you, but to protect me, my wife and my children from you.

It's really impressive that you know how fast your bike goes after the first day of having it. And it's really really impressive that you can do a wheelie.

But please don't do either of these things on the public road.

I can't wheelie either. But then I was toilet trained at 2; now that's impressive!

 

I’ve been riding bikes for approaching 48 years and as far as I can recall I’ve never done a wheelie, can’t say I feel like I’ve missed out or feel any less of a biker.

Like I said earlier in the thread... there's a time and place! I'll never knock anyone for wanting to wheelie or whatever floats your boat. But when you do things where you could potentially damage or hurt another party for the sake of showing off, then your just a nob
