I’m considering volunteering Mrs CB to join the one way Mars mission, unless they plan for a longer trip to Jupiter first.

 

Apparently, not only are you unable to hear a scream in space but it is equally impossible to hear incessant nagging.

Edit: This may not have yet been empirically proven but think that NASA and ESA should prioritise this research.

 

My late grandad was in the artillery in the 14-18 war, and was deafened by the guns. My granny had rather a sharp tongue. According to my mum, he used to get respite by switching off his hearing aid...

 

Mind you, I don't think that being able to shut off the nagging would be worth four years in the trenches, so I don't advocate it as a general policy.
