After a few days of temptingly milder weather and raising false hopes that the bike might get out soon…I opened the garage door this morning, saw this ….and it's still snowing, so looking at around another foot of the stuff :(
It's Canada, it's winter, and guess what? it snows here! The good news is that the snow bank (on the left of photo) is only half of typical for March.

I rode to work. I rode home. I love the bike so much that every ride (no matter what the weather) is a pleasure.

The next time Mr. Sandi suggests we move to Canada (from Arizona), @Steve T., I think I'll show him this photo. ;):joy: So thank you for sharing some "ammo"......:)

This past Sunday a small group of us did a little lunch ride up to a Mexican place about 45 miles from our house. This ride marked my last ride for a bit as I was scheduled for elbow surgery the following day. To make the day extra special I chose to ride my Speed Triple!:cool:

I truly appreciate riding my motorcycles each and every time I go out but this day I felt especially in tune with just how much I love to ride and how much I appreciate it. Lunch was pretty delicious, too. ;) I had a Sonoran dog. But no photos of my hotdog so you'll just have to believe me on the food part. :joy:

...if you need more "ammo" there's lots more "Snow Pics" around. A few years ago I took a series of photos over 2-3 days. I think we averaged over 4ft per day! The biggest problem with winter is that we lose about 5 months riding every year. Earliest out could be late March/April and then it's pretty much all over by late October.
Also, when it's not snowing it's usually raining, especially in "Summer" (..but at least it's not 110F :sweat::sweat:)

:joy::joy::joy: Oh yes, Steve, I remember that sort of weather quite well having grown up in Minnesota. My youngest brother and his family still live there. Mr. Sandi has had a sort of romanticized vision of what it would be like to move to the farm. But after adding my home town to his weather app, he's been a little put off by temperatures he's seen on there (minus 25ºF not too many days ago). :p I've also told him about how spring and summer are often not so conducive to riding either thanks to rain, thunderstorms, and tornados. After we discussed how our riding opportunities would be effectively cut in half for the rest of our riding days if we moved to Minnesota, the idea of moving there hasn't come up much at all. ;) I'll take 110ºF over all that other stuff.....:sun:

Well, I had a little cover on the bike BUT i was on the floor, next to the bike, on my back and trying to hold a 18mm spanner onto the front engine nut so I could tighten up the bolt. Whilst getting hailed on!!!! Devotion or stupidity!??
Meanwhile, you were sunning it with a taco somewhere probably!
Good luck with the operation from US ALL btw!!!

Ha! I need THREE emoji ratings for your post, D2T. Thanks for your good wishes. WTF! for the description of you and your bike while being hailed on. :p And Funny that you think I might be sunning it with a taco somewhere today, :joy: Actually it rained off and on all day today and the Santa Catalinas just north of us a few miles look like this. :)
